I took it for a while and still wound up on HRt from low levels. I find it funny that the same ingredients is in my multivitamin. I like drinking Casein protein before bed and the ZMA is supposed to be taken on an empty stomach before bed. I know some will get pissy but half of the shit sold by the supplement companies is hype. Tried a bunch over the years and the vast majority were just a waste of money.

I bought a huge bottle of BCAA's and glutamine and later realized it was already in my Whey protein mix I was using. For me - a good protein powder with the BCAA's and glutamine, creatine, and a multivitamin is a perfect combo. Whole food sources is what I recommend.

I use zma and feel it does a ton to help with sleep. As for increase in test if that happens its a plus, I have not done any blood tests to prove or disprove that point. All I know is that when I fall a sleep I wake up very rested and have awesome dreams.

The sleep is almost always great from the stuff. I'm talking very deep sleep and crazy dreams. I haven't noticed any other benefits from it and test seem to prove that it doesn't increase test.

ZMA is zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6, am I right? Why not just take those pills individually? Whole lot cheaper.

I take a low dose (half of recommended serving b/c I'm petite) every night before bed and don't wake up at all during the night. I've noticed on the nights I skip it or forget, I don't sleep as soundly and wake up periodically at night. If I take a higher dose, I have a difficult time waking up in the morning and feel like I have a benadryl-like hangover the rest of the morning.

zinc and magnesium are necessary nutrients, you need them in your diet. other than that they dont provide anything magical. this is a common theme among supplements

if a person were to completely eliminate any one necessary vitamin or mineral from their diet - they would eventually die. you need them to live like food, water and oxygen. this does not make them have any other special benefits, other than allowing your body to function properly.

Their subjects were a group of 8-week-old male rats. Of these, 10 were given ordinary food for 20 days. [Control] Ten other rats got 0.5 g per kg bodyweight of onion juice, which was pumped into their stomachs using a tube. Another 10 rats were given the same treatment, but got 1 g/kg bodyweight/day.

The table below shows that after 20 days the onion juice had improved the sperm quality and increased the concentration of LH, FSH and testosterone in the rats’ blood.

Malondialdehyde is a mutagenic substance that is produced when free radicals damage the unsaturated fatty acids in cell membranes. The reduction in malondialdehyde concentrations that the researchers found indicates how the onion juice increases testosterone production: antioxidants in onion juice neutralise free radicals in the testes. The researchers suspect that the antioxidants in question are probably selenium compounds found in onions, and phenols such as quercetin and isorhamnetin [structural formulae shown above]. Isorhamnetin is also made in the body when enzymes convert quercetine with the help of S-adenosylmethionine.

The Iranian findings are not completely new. As long ago as 1967 an Egyptian researcher discovered that the testes of lab animals fed raw onion juice increase in size. At the moment there are quite a few animal studies which report that high doses of polyphenols like quercetin have a positive effect on the testes. But the effect of these is not as big as that of plain onion juice.

I used ZMA for however long the bottle lasted me for. I thought it worked pretty well. I definitely had some CRAZY dreams, nightmares etc. I felt as if i was getting a better nights sleep.
More REM sleep.

ZMA was one of the ingridiants i used in a test booster when i was 17-18yrs old and started growing thicker facial and body hair, so i guess dat could be to the increased androgen levels from test
