Oh my Dog.

Dawg.... Yeah my Viszla, my son’s closest friend, our family pet… struck by a car last night. Remember that thread… Man’s best friend…?
Yeah she’s alive, broken back, ribs etc and today is her birthday –no phuking way… really?
My kids are at school. We were in the Vet hospital most of the night. The kids will be coming home from school soon and I have to tell them….
We are not putting her down. We will bring her home, nurse her and let God do his thing.

I feel for you knucklehead. Keep the faith! I'm sure the vet would have told you if there was no hope. I'll pray for you

Heavenly Father we ask that you lift up Viszla and her family and keep them comforted during this recovery. Heal her back to health and let the love of you lord and her family give her strength.

Dogs are very resilient animals, i hope she has a speedy full recovery. i remember years ago seeing my dog get hit by a car but he did a few somersaults got up and caried on his business as if nothing had happened,but for them 20 or 30 seconds he was laying there my hart sank. The ass hole just drove off too-if i hit a dog id take it to vets and pay bill too.

The good thing is that with the stronger bond between you and your son, it should help things out even more with the dog. Poor thing, very sad, but good to see he has great owners who love him!

My mother just had to put a dog down that i grew up with, tore both of us apart, so i know the feeling. Like i said though, ill be saying a prayer bro!

It's like one of your kids got in an accident. I've had alot of dogs in my life, and each one was a family member. It's sickening to see them suffer. Hope and prayers to you, your family, and the little one!

good luck to you and your dog brother, my heeler jumped out of my truck and got hit, which ended up shattering her rear femur back in june, I was against amputation, which i regret now b/c three surgeries later and she still doesnt have a functioning hind leg.

They'll get over it sooner than you think. Remember, dogs are dumb when it comes to pain. they aim to please and will try and tough it out just to put a smile on your face. they start moving well before they're supposed to, which will be extremely hard to keep them from doing. It will be a lot of time and money, but worth it in the end. i dont really know you, however, I wish your family well and the pup a speedy recovery.

Im sending your family all my good thoughts. I lost a dog to a car 9 years ago. Nothing like rushing your dog thats been hit by a car to the vet huh? Mine convulsed blood and died in my arms in the back of the police car on the way. It still hurts.

My Rotty blew out her knee in September. The operation cost me $3700. Thats $3700 I really couldnt afford. She is spooning with me on the couch as I type this to you.

Well they give tb500 to injured horses, maybe think about that?Just a thought.. I am giving my cat essiac ( tumour treatment ) in his tuna juice. I havent noticed the tumour (large bulge on the side of his head) getting smaller but its worth a try.
