Have been looking at this website and seem to be a lot of great people offering what seems to be good advice...

Here's my story I'll keep it brief so I don't bore ya... wanna look to put more weight on in the form of muscle... I don't plan on trying to get to competition stage or any thing like that but actually like to try and shake off a little beer belly and lets be honest about it ... a perfetic frame... Joined a gym 2 months ago and also have weights in my garage... have got back in reasonable shape fitness wise but now want to put on the muscle...

I'm 27, wiegh 13st (about 180lbs i think?)

Problem is I'm on a budget as family has to come first... currently I've just started eating the following

7am - Protein shake (holland&barretts), beans on toast, banana
9.30am - Tuna sandwich
12pm - Chicken and rice
3pm - tuna sandwich
6pm - dinner (carbs & Protien), banna
workout...
protein shake

Can anyont advise of a good diet on a budget or point me in the right direction of a good thread that I could get some info from...

How tall are you?? What is your bodfat %?
What are the quantities of the foods you are eating? (oz of protein, grams of carbs)??
You need to provide some more details...
 
Am 6ft and bf is 22% which I know is a bit high but doing cardio 3 times a week to bring that down... (bike, rower, running)

Don't know the exact amount of protien but will will generally eat 3/4 of can tuna (wests) in each sandwich and eat a chicken breast at lunch & dinner... Also will have 1 1/2 scoop of in morning shake and 2 after a work out... if I don't have a work out that day and just fo cardio I just have 1 scoop... the PT at gym said that is right thing to do so just going on his advice on that one...

Hope that makes it a little clearer... sorry don't have exact figures...
 
IMO you gonna need more protien and healthy fats like olive oil and peanut butter. of you like go up to my thread and post what you have in the fridge to work with and ill plan out some meals for you.
