For weight gainers, I used to add powdered milk to it. But for taste, how about a fresh apple?

Also what flavor protein do you have? I'm assuming vanilla?

walmart brand cheap and has creatine in it so its good to add things too it like rice ill try half and apple to sweeten it up ill let you know if it hits the spot lol-

chocolate protein is good with that stuff but vanilla mixes better with just about everything. what else tastes good with chocolate protein give me some ideas gals and gents alike all who like sweet tasting weightgainers that dont gag people let me have em all out i need new and tasty shit i got money for food and i need ideas to get huge people. i know how to diet but i dont know how to make a good tasting shake for the life of me
 
As long as its mixed with Milk, Peanut Butter, and a banana its always treated me right no matter how the protein tastes!

I like these combinations:

Peanut butter (natural), oats, honey, banana.

Strawberry, blueberry, honey, oats.

PB and chocolate syrup (or drink mix, whichever I have).

"Fruit mix" (has like mango, strawberry, etc...found in frozen food isle), oats, ice, and maybe some golden raisins.

The possibilities are endless. Sometimes I just open the fridge and grab random stuff out of it and toss it in the blender. Pretty much any kind of fruit would work. I always try to add oats, especially if I have some steel cut oats (600 calories per CUP). Most of the time my protein flavor of choice is vanilla, as you can easily overpower it with other flavors to hide it if needed (like with chocolate syrup).

Another one I like is making a REALLY strong cup of coffee and adding it. Yum!

For post-workout shakes I prefer lower fat even when trying my hardest to pack in calories:

Malto / Dextrose
Whey (vanilla, chocolate, choc and mint, cookie dough, etc… be creative)
Reduced fat Oreos
Chocolate syrup
 
Higher fat shakes

I like higher fat shakes, healthy fats. More calorie dense.
If i just need a few extra calories... ;)

1 cup whole milk
2 tbsp EVOO
2 tbsp Natty PB
1-2 scoops whey (your choice of flavor, i prefer chocolate)

This gives you about 750 calories, 45 - 75 g of protein (depending on if 1 or 2 scoops), around 15 grams of carbs, and about 54 grams of fat.
easy, cheap, and effective.

Never thought of that! I'll give it a try.....maybe.

For those who are tired of clumping protein, dirty spoons, etc. Get a Magic Bullet. My girlfriend got me one earlier this week and I love it! Just have to remember to put the milk/water in first, THEN the powder. If you do it the other way it just all clumps at the top when you flip it to put it on the blender.

Seriously, it's so much faster and I get zero clumping. No more wasted protein at the bottom of the cup or leaky shaker bottles for me! It's also nice because you can add other things very easily.


And it makes a killer salsa for later on too!
 
I could never understand the need for a weight gainer shake. No matter if I am cutting or bulking there is always room for some more food. I would kill to have the need for a weight gainer shake.
 
PB, some ice cream, cho. syrup, whey, strawberries and bannana are my favorites
