HAs anyone ever warmed up their protein shakes first thing in the morning cause they cramp if they try to drink it cold? I have been drinking coffee first thing in the AM for some years. I could switch to tea, and have done so. But I would really like more then anything to drink my shake first thing in the AM. Problem is I would have bad stomach cramps for a while.

If I drank my protein shake with water (not hot) would I be loosing some of the good nutrition or loose some of the key ingredients in it by doing so? Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated.

I have occasionally warmed it up using warm water, not hot though.
IF the water is warm there should be no loss of nutrients in the mix. dont boil and wait to cool down though as this would probably have some effect on the ingredients though.

I did it for the same reason as you but to be honest i could never get on with the taste, been that used too having it cold it just didnt taste right warm.

IMO I would not worry about the loss of nutrients, read the label on your protein and most often than not it states the protein is great for use in recipes/baking. If you are able to bake with it there should be no problem.

Most of the higher end proteins can be used in cooking with no problems.
