Prolactin and LH

My prolactin labs came back at 18.7 UC Davis lab. Is that a problem?

Are you on testosterone? If so this is why your LH is suppressed.

Did you have sex or masturbate prior to your lab's? With this, there are many causes of an acute prolactin pulsation. Stress prior to your lab's can do this. A sudden rise in your estradiol levels can raise in your prolactin levels.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about either of these values.

No, no, and no. No testosterone therapy yet (off for 4 months), no sex or masturbation (no interest to be honest because of a 196 total test level), and no stress that I was aware. Doc doesn't think this prolactin is a problem but I was just wondering if it were much lower if my libido would improve. I have some cab laying around I could take. I don't trust my doctor at all. He wants to start me at .4ml of test cyp eow. I'm 6'4" 285#'s and that makes no sense.

Since you are not on any sort of AAS, as aforementioned is suppressive on LH. Low levels of LH is generally associated with pituitary or hypothalamus failure. (Or you haven't recovered from your previous AAS usage). HTPA dysfunction, in it of itself can be from a multitude of pathological causes.

We'll focus on one possibility at a time

Given your body weight of 285 with a mild elevation of prolactin and low LH, can be suggestive of OSA (sleep apnea). Sleep apnea, depending on the severity can lead to HPA dysfunction. In which can cause the symptoms you have described i.e. low libido.

-Are you taking any prescription drugs?

-Is there a possibility that you have sleep apnea?

-Post all of your lab's if you have them.

Stewie knows his stuff. read his posts for years on here and I'd follow his advice. along with what he said, I'd add that I have high prolactin and low LH and FSH after. every cycle i've ever done. Saomtimes it just takes time.
