Well those are two difference answers. HRT is vastly different from what guys cruise on. An HRT doc is merely looking to get your total test over 600. This is often accomplished on a weekly dose of 100-125mg. 99% of genuine HRT clients are Rx'd less than 200mg a week.
Now you can choose to cruise on whatever you want to. If you are much beyond this pseudo-200mg/wk limit you will want to keep some kinda tab on your bloodwork.
I did 18 months with a cruise minimum of 500 a week and the blasts were triple that. It was a great time for gains and mass but by the end of it I was wrecked from a blood work perspective.
IMO/IME the longer you want to run a dose the lower it will have to be. Sure there is a ton of things you can do to improve your lipid panel and hematocrit levels for instance while on higher doses but to imagine you could run 500mg for life is likely folly. True you never know till you try but if you do try get that labwork done faithfully so you know where you stand and can alter as needed.
