Best concert you have seen

Got to see Down at a small club in Flint Michigan called "The Machine Shop". Place holds maybe 300 people. Think it was 2006. Rex from Pantera was still playing bass with Down back then. They tore the roof off the place. Great show.Phil had a total Spinal Tap moment though. They started the set and ripped through three songs nonstop. The place went crazy. Then Phil gets on the mic and yells "alright Grand Rapids!!!" ( we were actually in Flint). The place went quiet. A few people yelled "you're in Flint man! Phil then said. Oh....I'm sorry man...we've been on the road a long time.....and we've been smoking A LOT of weed.....The crowd then cheered loudly and they kicked into the next song. Ya gotta love heavy metal.....

LOL, yeah he likes to party pretty hard. I remember reading that the band members of Pantera were getting a bit frustrated with him.

saw deftones play live maybe 11 years ago when I was 15. The lead singer jumped onto the barrier right in front of me. I got absolutely crushed but it was the best concert ive ever experienced.

also did marilyn mansons private security when he did his first dress rehearsal when he came to aus a few years ago. Absolutely shit house performance by him but it was cool to be one of 15 people in the theatre

Kid Rock put on a great show! earlier this spring.

I’ve been to some really good ones lately... Metallica in the 90s was up there for sure. Guns N Roses at Soldier Field a couple summers ago along with Motley Crue farewell tour, and although not the greatest I just saw Def Leppard and Journey and got stoned as hell and had a great time. Also excited for Ozzys last tour in a couple months in Chicago!!

Ozzy still does great. I saw him a couple of years ago for the final tour of Black Sabbath. His energy and voice really surprised me. He is quite healthy surprisingly!

Just saw Foo Fighters Saturday night and I like their music, but far from a huge FF fan. Damn....they were freakin' awesome!!!! One of the better live shows I've seen in my life. If you get the chance and haven't seen them live, I strongly suggest you check them out.

Bringing this thread back since at least in Dallas there are a lot of good concerts coming up this year.

But better than that is I just booked ticket / hotel / flight / rental car to see Down in New Mexico in June. Down is my favorite band and has only played 3 shows since 2016 so no way I was missing this. It will be my first time traveling for a concert - that's how big a fan of Down I am.

The rest of my concert lineup this summer:
  • May 4 - ERRA / Make Them Suffer / Novelists
  • May 16 - Enterprise Earth / Crown Magnetar / Inferi / Tracheotomy / Skybaus / The Xeballian
  • July 6 - Power Trip - first show back since original singer died summer 2020
  • July 19 - Lamb Of God / Mastodon / Kerry King / Malevolence
  • July 29 - Fallujah / Persephone / Vulvodynia / Dawn Of Ouroboros
  • August 3 - As I Lay Dying / Chelsea Grin / Entheos
  • August 11 - I Prevail / Halestorm / Hollywood Undead / Fit For A King

I recently saw KMFDM and Cobichrist recently both were amazing shows. Going to Slipknot in August but mainly going to see knocked loose. Will be seeing Sleep Token soon.

I was looking at tickets for Slipknot this morning but I just couldn't bring myself to buy them with how far they've gone from what they started as. Their self-titled album was on repeat for me from age 12 to 14.

Just seen slipknot this weekend at sick new World and the Audio was complete shit. terrible. Was extremely disappointed.

Tech N9ne. Most rap concerts are meh… but this guy puts on a fucking show and the crowd gets wild.

Metallica at a sold out stadium and making it to the front row was an experience.

I’m the work for the front row/mosh type of concert guy, it’s like therapy and cathartic experience.

Man....what a great thread to bring back. Back in the day, Ozzy, Rush, Scorpions, Van Halen, Metallica, Tesla, Dokken. More recently....Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, and I have to say the Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas Concert Tour shows are incredible!
