I don’t know the cost associated with this but is there a way to track members IP addresses so we can stop this nonsense of banned members constantly rejoining just to troll and waste our time? @SouthernMuscle and I have been trying to figure out a way to solve for this. Thoughts?

Only works if their IP is static.
Otherwise you have to deny whole netblocks(IP ranges). then you run the risk of denying legit users.
How do you account for VPN ?
Might have to move from IP bans to having a month long wait period prior to posting.

Just keep reporting them. Some members let me know in PMs too. Many members use same IPs, so hard to complete there. I just look for patterns. If they just came back and blend in it wouldn't be a problem. Nah, some are just repeat assholes and go back to the same dumbshit posts. It gets obvious who they are.

Right I guess we're the few who are like "clear my day we got a troll" its like they say funny shit and then funnier shit gets said and if they're worth a shit they can keep responding with ever increasing funny shit. You can just opt out by blocking them. Not saying the board needs to succumb to troll madness but the occasional one is a nice change.

ok.. in the corners of the web, youll see posts that use phonetic spelling.. no punctuation.. intentionally grammatically incorrect word placement.. ironic..
supposedly this throws off writing signature ai-bots that are used to identify post authors.
