Man, i am excited. I have put up w this shit way too long. The impact on my life has been pretty crappy, as many of you know from experience. My gyno has always been really tender and painful to touch, i can't count how many times my kids have climbed on me and squashed my gyno and it hurts like a mofo. (Just happened yesterday and the thought hit me "holy shit only a few more days"). Occasionally, it will have a burning sensation (happening this AM) and I'm not sure what causes that, shouldn't really be much fluctuation in my hormone levels. I am so stoked to eliminate AIs and SERMs from my life. (Will have on hand though, JIC)
I am doing the procedure with local anesthetic not full anesthesia. The surgeon said he removes the entirety of the gland and then uses whatever lipo might be necessary to make sure the nipple lays flat against the pec, he said in his experience he has never purposely left any gland or put fat behind the nipple to keep it from caving in. He said smoothing the area out w lipo works to keep the nipple from being concaved. He only does cosmetic procedures, boob jobs, various body lifts, gyno, etc...
I am thinking post-op to do a legit TRT dose only since i can't lift for a few weeks. This may result in more catabolism but i think its kind of dumb to run cycle or blast doses when i cant lift. When i am given the clear i plan on running a test/deca/mast blast. I haven't been able to run deca forever because of the gyno and i am super excited at the prospect of training legs with reduced knee pain.
As soon as i get the clear for some increased activity I'm planning to hit my calves every day until i am cleared for proper workouts, at least not all of me will shrivel up haha
I only have one day off after the procedure before going back to work, will see how that works out.
A suggestion for you guys that might be struggling w affording gyno surgery. My work offers a high deductible insurance plan which allows me to have a HSA. Those plans can make sense if you're relatively young and healthy. I haven't been paying attention to it but i have like $20k in my HSA. Paying for the gyno surgery out of that.
Edit- oh yeah, i plan to get properly lean after this too. I have purposely maintained a level of body fat that i am unhappy with (have soft abs) because the gyno becomes a lot more noticeable if i am lean
Edit 2- i read basically every gyno thread on the board, I'm just excited to share
