I've seen things such as this in the past. True it will work well for most cases, but what it fails to disclose is that it is running on an operating system. It does not run on it's own. It can only state what it does with it's code. They do not mention things like kernel handles, pagefile, operating system caching, XP prefetch, local firewall logs, etc. To be totally secure would be to use a non-writeable disk for an operating system, like a CD and have no hard drive connected at the time. To take it to an even further extreme, a BIOS level memory scrub upon shutdown. But again this would be in a perfect world yet keeping it simple enough for anyone, which is not always the case for people's budgets. They would have to outweigh the security level they require on their own.
