Last Friday on May 20th I had hiccups all day that started causing slightly chest discomfort. People at the gym urged me to go to the ER. Well, shortly after arriving my hiccups stopped but I was told I had a bit of a fever. The next two days afterward I started having chest pain located on just the right side, and I thought I strained a pec muscle, though I hadn't even worked out for a yet days by that point.
On Monday the chest pain had me return to the ER, although this time they did a chest x-ray and found I had a small case of pneumonia, which apparently explained the chest pain. They gave me a 5 day course of antibiotics, the chest pain ended by Tuesday, and now I feel almost completely fine. No more fever, chest pain etc., although my pulse rate is still a little high and a tad dehydrated. I did a test run at the gym yesterday doing 30 minutes of light cardio and abs. Do you guys think I'm fine enough to return to lifting without setting myself back?
Maybe I'll return tonight, but at the first instance of getting gassed or exhausted sooner than I otherwise would, I should just call it a night?
Thanks in advance for the input.
