Sensational, Curt. Conditioning is spot on. many shows are won from the back, and the lower back, glutes and hams were there. When a Xmas tree has tinsel, you know you are top notch.

This was the state show. I did the southern but made some mistakes and also my dad passed away 1 week before the southern and i lived in the ICU waiting room a week before that. So after the southern, I let my mind clear a little then decided to do the state show and bring my best package..It was a bitter sweet victory.

It was hard and still is. When I would be on the treadmill at 530 every morning overlooking the land I grew up on and spent most of my time with my dad working and learning, thinking of all the memories, I had to wipe the tears and fight them back every step. Even in the gym it felt the same but at the same time it made me push harder... When I won the stste show in 08 he told me his life was complete. He wanted me to be (Mr Mississippi) since the first time I competed in 98... So I did it for him. I know he was a saved Christian and so am I.... God gave me the strenth and still does.. I will see him again one day when this life is over but untill then, I will go as far as I can... So I will see you guys at some national shows next year with 12 more lbs of muscle and same wt class.:headbang:

Don't ever give up but at the same time don't take for granted the more important things in life.
