What will his legacy be? I’m sorta stoned but this dude intrigues me. I can’t tell if he’s a complete lunatic or actually some idiot savant genius. If you were writing a book on the history of bodybuilding what chapter do you stick this dude in? Does he get his own chapter? I’m 37 so I was pretty young when he was in his prime. Curious to hear some of you older dude’s thoughts.

He would definitely have his own page lol not only is he an interesting funny guy with some wild views on things he was one fucking hell of a bodybuilder. Ask Ronnie lol

I feel like he’s so interesting not only because of his views and attitude but that he was the original giant killer. Dude is barely 5’4 out there crushing most competitors.

I always liked the guy… Seemed to go a lil off the rails the older he got though. Still was an amazing competitor!

As to the book; that man gets an entire chapter!!!!!!

always loved lee priest.
def would need his own chapter.
his outlook on training is fairly simple and refreshing really.
ridiculous genetics AND a helluva lotta time under tension.

i have spoken w him few times. seems he doesnt hide anything. but at same time i find it HARD to believe he was that jacked on the cycles/doses he said he used.... i dunno.... FREAK regardless.

If the Olympia had a short class during his time he would definitely own that title! The guy has incredible genetics!! He was a mass monster for his frame but he had shape and conditioning as well!

I met him a couple of times. He was very cool! I've told this story before, but we both went to the Paul Borreson seminar in '98 in Culver City. It was the same weekend as the USA. He remembered me from the original time we met, came up and said hi and we chatted for a bit. Very down to earth.

Lee was hilarious in this episode from Straight Outta The Lair:

I actually always liked that abt him. I read years ago that even when in full contest prep mode he would often give in to his cravings and eat like a pint of ice cream then do hours of cardio the next day to make up for it haha. He was known for excellent conditioning when the day came though. I remember some muscle mag back in the day had a photo special where they represented pros standout body parts in actual size on the pages. They used Priest's forearm. It was massive

I think his book was written pretty good in Arnold’s Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. The selection of pictures of him used do more to speak positively of Lee than anything in words or video I’ve seen.

Late '90s early 2000s Lee Priest was one of my favorite bodybuilders. I used to copy his high volume workouts because I just simply enjoyed it at the time.

While I can respect that he speaks his mind and doesn't take shit, there's a time and a place for certain things. His physique was just nuts. Especially when you see it over time.
