pre-workout meal: carbs

I will say, while cream of rice is not as tasty as my steel cut oats with brown sugar, it wasn't bad...and holy hell I feel SOOOO much better bloat wise. Usually I feel like a bloated POS during my workout, stomach was flat, felt great. Fuck oatmeal.

I love cream of rice for that.

I like cream of rice too. Cream of wheat is gross...and with IBS oatmeal is out as the fiber destroys me
 
Chicken and sweet potato for me! Even though there is a good amount of fiber content in sweet potatoes they always digest very readily but not too fast like white rice or cream of rice. I leave those for postworkout.
 
Pre workout changes all the time. A common one for me is oats, chocolate chip whey, banana and chia seeds. If I eat meat then I always do rice (brown, jasmine, basmati, wild etc) or 1 large sweet potatoe. The most common pre workout meal I have is a synthepure smoothie usually made with apple, berries and spinach or pineapple, lemon and spinach. Fruit always feels light on my stomach and gives me a good boost in energy. Sometimes I add in a spoon of oats in my shakes if I want more carbs.

Postwork usually rice but recently been eating a lot of dates as they taste incredible.
