ive always done my inclines on a low incline, cause i feel the higher incline (like the ones set up in most gyms with a barbell), hit the shoulders more than the chest.
my upper chest is not the thickness id like it to be.. what do you guys do for upper chest? inclines, low, high, moderate?

what's your approximate body fat level, it may just be that it is covered over by some adipose tissue. other than incline bench presses and flys i don't really know what else there is. maybe work upper chest first and do more sets to help bring it up as well as varying the angle some.

Dumbell inclines - low incline

youll have to look for it, i just tried but couldnt find it, theres a post by dante on IM about bringing up a lagging chest that might help.

here it is tkav: **broken link removed**

Question

IF declines work more chest and less delts.........flat works more toward a balance........wtf do you think inclines are doing for your chest?

:D I got to thank you chelu! I have learned so much from you!

Thanks!:D

I weigh 230lbs and you can still see my collarbones a bit. I think it is mostly genetics bro. Dont get me wrong tho hit up those exercises and keep trying!!

Logic a valuable tool.

i kinda felt where the best spot was for me ....

i do love using dumbell's though ....

try guillotine presses on a smith machine. Wide grip and you bring the bar down to your clavicle. Go lighter weight and start of slow. Super stretch at the bottom

Dumbbell incline at 15 degree angle has helped me a lot. I get pretty much nothing from regular incline, except really fucking sore shoulders the next day.

I am going to try both!! Thanks guys

phil, are you saying incline chest work is useless for the chest?

what incline do you guys use? 20 degrees? 30 degrees?

after tearing my pec minor doing flat bench, i stick to inclines from now on.

Have you tried training chest on a moderate incline with dumbbells?

I get excellent results from ol' gironda neck presses. Talk about high NMA, you don't focus on this one and it's curtains..hahaha

Personally I have always loved incline presses and have always had a good upper chest.
I hate flats and I have actually moved weight on the inclines that I never could on the flats.

Ironically, I have eliminated all pressing for the past two weeks (elbow injury) and I am doing only flyes and pec-deck, but my upper chest looks even a bit better now.
