Sadly Dave Kalick passed.. apparently self inflicted.. great guy.. never know the mental torment some are going through.. RIP

Man Dave was one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, he loved the sport of bodybuilding. He talked to me after a couple of shows just amazed with my potential (offered to coach me), told me how he sets up his diets (a lot of different protein sources for an array of amino acid profiles) we could talk FOREVER! he had a serious passion for bodybuilding! I can't believe he is dead

I met Dave 10 years ago and he was the nicest, most down-to-earth individual. There are so many people not speaking up about mental health, and it's sad—my condolences to Dave and his loved ones. RIP.

Dave was one of my favorite people in the industry. Always as kind as can be, always supportive, always asked how my family was, encouraging. That man as PASSIONATE as bodybuilding!!! He will be very missed.

Sad to hear. I met Dave when he was 20, just a young guy getting into the game. We had a ridiculous breakfast together at a diner near his families place in NY. Super genuine, passionate and driven guy....
