General question: Anyone have mail issues without mailboxes

With the new way they design neighborhoods without mail boxes, having all the mailboxes for all homes in one spot like a P.O. Box, we always have packages misdelivered into the wrong slot. Some neighbors return it to you unopened, some opened and say they didn’t realize it wasn’t there’s until opening, some never show, etc.

Do any of you run into this? I’ve been out of the game for 3 years now and every time I contemplate coming back, this is what I think about. Neighbor recently opened a package with a sex toy.. strange experience.

I'm living in one of those communities now...When we first moved here, we were walking out to head to the store and my wife looks across the street and one of our packs is sitting at their door. I work for an overseas company that ships in large country specific boxes, and most are searched by Customs and deliver with the green tape...So easily noticeable after all of these years.

As for the actual central mailboxes...I can easily see how it would/does happen but luckily, as of yet we have not run into that issue.

I was just thinking how I lost a nice package in college several years ago due to similar situations. Not sure what a solution would be besides a po Box.
