dumbell deads
fantastic break from the barbell. harder on the hands, but such a difference on the back muskles

lat pulldown
5 sets perfect strict form

smith machine pendlay rows
form sux, but the exercise is sick

supported cambered bar rows (banded)

one final set reeves deads with cambered bar after last set

stretch(hang until could not hold on/ close/wide)

already sore
definitely proves the theory of more change for me is in order. body needs and likes the variety

btw, anybody that doesn't respect "back spasms" you have no idea what it is like. they are crippling muscularly, squeeze the air out of your lungs, and have you flopping on the ground like a fish out of water

decline barbell 315 x 10 ..felt pretty good considering it was after db's
weighted dips
pushdowns
machine dips (banded)

started to make a few tweaks learning from the last couple of weeks

starting to combine chest/tris and back /bis together

occasionally will add a forth day in for shoulders

past week did hammer military, db side lat, shrugs. don't feel like it could be something I could do every week. the shoulders will tell the tale whether or not it will be done regularly.

after doing chest tri last week together, tri's were more sore then they have been in years. After back and bi's this week, I couldn't wash my hair w/out a cramp.
so far it has been a pleasant change of pace. Going to continue to chase the numbers on the bar, and the scale and keep the joints in check, which have been relatively pain free.
added a little more minutes to the gearsquad dvd, just a little. gearing up for a short down time, followed by the pre contest viewing marathon
with the small increase, I know there will be increases in everything else.

got excited about the thread @ heavy weights, dc etc. thought I would try to bring some intensity and try to get some heavy weight for some good reps.

couple weeks ago got 500 for 5. lost my balance on the up at rep 5 so I racked it. honestly, not sure could have got 6, but regardless, wanted to best that

after this did the low cable flared lat widowmaker and like it very much. Got a nice lat pump, and started to cheat a little bit with only 100#
I don't know if i will do it after every workout like most dc followers will do, but it is a welcome addition to the arsenal

also did some bicep drop sets, cables, preachers along with some heavy stretches

I have 2 ruptured disks in my back from playing football in HS, one in my lower neck, the other in my thoracic region. When the injuries first happened I got back spasms on a near daily basis, sometimes laying in bed for 2 days on Flexiril and only getting up to piss or eat...worst pain I've ever felt.

Tore my rhomboid three times over the years and used to get the back spasms often. It's the worst pain in the world. Then came the crushed disk and recently three broken ribs in the back from motorcycle racing not to mention a broken clavicle and two collapsed lungs. I know how you feel brother. Back spasms were worst by far. It facking hurts and takes a bit to feel confident again to go heavy. In any case, keep up the good work...

Again added the tris in after chest. I dont know what i have been doing not doing this. the pump is so much better then i was getting, and I definitely hit a rut in the arm training.

i saw your training. looks like you are climbing. I remember when I bought my 120's.
said to myself I wasn't going to buy heavier until I could do sets of 10 with them. I bought them in 2004.:D:D
took a long time, & that is what will make the difference.

Some kid was talking to me saturday asking for me to help with his form. he was doing some sort of tricep machine pushdown thingy??

never used it.

said he has got three years to get big, and so on, and so on. don't want to regurgitate the nonsense.

I asked why three years, why not 15... and he replied: he bought a 3 year pass.. nuff said

people do not usually last long enough to get to those weights.

wanted to take off from squats to day to give it a break

seated leg curl stack x 8 drop 50 x 5 drop 50 x 4/5 drop 50 x 4 with partials
drop 50 partials x f

superseted with hacks (vry slow)
glute ham raise 3 x 5 (surprised how fatigued they were, could only get 5's)
walking lunges across gym with 100# preload 2 x
leg ext 8 sets
calf raise (on the hack)
some dc stretches (hams/quads and calves)

????? If you are wearing a powerlifting shirt is it ok to do single arm cable curls stretched out to the other side of the cable machine to lean on for support???

took a little break, and then did some biceps as well
