Hyperice/Normatec Devices

I know they are more for endurance athletes but has anyone used any of the devices from Hyperice/Normatec for recovery?

According to the video, the Hyperice X. has 3 modes- cooling, heating, contrast. I think for oldies like me the heat setting would be nice to use for 10-20 pre workout to get the joint heated up. For me, even after 15-20 min of fun body warm up and mobility work I'm still a bit creaky until about my 2nd exercise.

I have the full leg compression device. It’s awesome. Better recovery and blood flow.
The only “downside” is being immobile while using it

You really notice a difference? I’ve never used them but my girl has the Redcon premier membership and they have them in the recovery area. She thinks it’s placebo.

Pretty sure I have poorer blood flow in my legs compared to upper body. Sometimes I’ll get that heaviness feeling in my legs, use the leg device for 30 min and my legs will feel 10x lighter, idk how else to explain it. Definitely helps with soreness so it’s absolutely getting things moving

Asked my PT about it today and he said the leg boots do help after a hard leg session. The X Shoulder is out of stock but I'm gonna pull the trigger on the boots.

Idk if you have a flex savings account or FSA but they qualify

I have Normatec boots as well as an "Off Brand" from Amazon. The Normatec's I can utilize full power when my legs are extremely sensitive - The "Off Brand" I can go maybe to 7/10 before I have to take them off.

Just looked the brand is "Air Relax".

It makes a fairly massive difference if you are pushing it volume wise. I have the HyperIce Venom as well but it has been sitting on a shelf in my office still in the original box unopened for two years. Tried it at a gym and just wasn't sold on it.

Highly recommend everyone try's out the boots though, try them and return them after a month on Amazon.
