Hemoglobin devices are not accurate.

Speaking of theraputic phlebotomies...what exatly would one who is basically on "self administered HRT" in between their cycles do, if their hematocrit starts rising? I get my bloods done occaisionally through online discounts without a Drs. order, so I know that I'm succetible to this. However for reasons beyond my control I can't always just go donate...is this something I could just point out to the Dr. that I noticed and then request it, or what?

Go online to one blood or the red cross and make an appointment to donate whole blood. You can do this every 56 days and you will be helping others as well as yourself.

This will put most peoples hematocrit back in the normal range if you are high. They check it each time you donate so will know your numbers and be able to track etc.

Have you, by any chance, ever had your ferritin checked? If so, what was it?

At various times yes...I cannot remember the exact numbers but it has never been out of range

11/2010
Ferritin: 91 (10-105ng/ml)
RBC Count: 3.65 (4.2-5.8 Million/uL)
Hemoglobin: 12.5 (13.2-17.1 g/dL)
Platelet Count: 134 (140-400 Thousand/uL)

3/2012
Ferritin: 40 (20-345 ng/mL)
RBC Count: 4.16 (4.2-5.8 Million/uL)
Hemoglobin: 13.1 (13.2-17.1 g/dL)
Platelet Count: 139 (140-400 Thousand/uL)

11/2013
Ferritin: 8 (20-345ng/mL)
Hemoglobin: 13.9 (13.2-17.1 g/dL)
Hematocrit: 43.5 (38.5-50.0%)
Platelet Count: 185 (140-400 Thousand/uL)

3/2014
Ferritin: 13 (20-345ng/mL)
Hemoglobin: 14.1 (13.2-17.1 g/dL)

Hematocrit: 43.2 (38.5-50.0%)
Platelet Count: 160 (140-400 Thousand/uL)

These values have generally tended to be low for me, even when I used to blast. Guess I got lucky in that regard. I have noticed when I donated blood though that the values they told me were generally a little off from my own blood work.

RHR has always been 40-60 for the most part.

This is actually very helpful to me. Your ferritin was extremely low but your RHR was still between 40-60. My RHR is high right now (80) and I don't know whether it's because I have low ferritin or because I'm on 700mg test. Before on 3iu GH and TRT, RHR was also high. I am curious to see what happens to it when I'm back on just TRT and nothing else. I am also curious what would happen if I cut my carbs out and whether that would make it decrease. RHR has been my main issue lately.

80 is high but not that crazy. I would assume it's the gear. My RHR was always higher when I cycled....usually still 60-70 but higher than my normal ~50.

Not that crazy sure, but lower heart rates are linked to longer lifespan so I'm not going to accept 80 in the long term. Hopefully it goes back down to 60 on just TRT.

How much cardio do you do weekly? I had a RHR of 92 on 500mg Test (0 cardio) which i believe contributed to a trainwreck of a hematocrit. Its been 3 weeks since i've been off everything and doing cardio 25 minutes everyday, and its now down to just under 70. Feel MUCH better too.

Tons. either HIIT or basketball 4x total per week. Doesn't seem to matter much on 700mg test. I am scared to think what it would be if I didn't do cardio.

A year ago, I did the same amount of cardio on 450mg test, and my RHR was down to 60-63 but I was on a calorie restricted cutting diet, which leads me to believe if I drastically reduced calories/carbs, it would make a huge difference. Well tomorrow I'm going to start a cutting diet while on the same dose of test to see what happens.

Nothuman I recall in June you stating you were never going over 400mg of Test again, what made you change your mind?

Also I largely agree on the diet changes, sometimes just going from a surplus to a deficit can have me at 10bpm lower on average.

I don't remember if I said that or not but I probably did. I guess I just felt like I wanted a boost and maybe see if I can put on a little more muscle.

Side note, my last two meals were just protein and fats and I checked my RHR and it was 68-71. I really think it's the high carb meals that my genetics don't like very much.
