Melanotan 2 for summer

I found this pretty interesting. MT2 regulated NREM sleep where MT1 regulates REM. The combination of both seem best to improve circadian rhythm.

Awesome find! I love when we find cool new studies that haven’t been posted here yet. Thank you! I’m posting it here because many people are too lazy to click on links, myself included. Haha 😆

Sleep-wake characterization of double MT₁/MT₂ receptor knockout mice and comparison with MT₁ and MT₂ receptor knockout mice.
Comai S, et al. Behav Brain Res. 2013.

Abstract

The neurohormone melatonin activates two G-protein coupled receptors, MT1 and MT2. Melatonin is implicated in circadian rhythms and sleep regulation, but the role of its receptors remains to be defined. We have therefore characterized the spontaneous vigilance states in wild-type (WT) mice and in three different types of transgenic mice: mice with genetic inactivation of MT1 (MT1(-/-)), MT2 (MT2(-/-)) and both MT1/MT2 (MT1(-/-)/MT2(-/-)) receptors. Electroencephalographic (EEG) and electromyographic sleep-wake patterns were recorded across the 24-h light-dark cycle. MT1(-/-)mice displayed a decrease (-37.3%) of the 24-h rapid eye movement sleep (REMS) time whereas MT2(-/-)mice showed a decrease (-17.3%) of the 24-h non rapid eye movement sleep (NREMS) time and an increase in wakefulness time (14.8%). These differences were the result of changes occurring in particular during the light/inactive phase. Surprisingly, MT1(-/-)/MT2(-/-) mice showed only an increase (8.9%) of the time spent awake during the 24-h. These changes were correlated to a decrease of the REMS EEG theta power in MT1(-/-)mice, of the NREMS EEG delta power in MT2(-/-)mice, and an increase of the REMS and wakefulness EEG theta power in MT1(-/-)/MT2(-/-) mice. Our results show that the genetic inactivation of both MT1 and MT2 receptors produces an increase of wakefulness, likely as a result of reduced NREMS due to the lack of MT2 receptors, and reduced REMS induced by the lack of MT1 receptors. Therefore, each melatonin receptor subtype differently regulates the vigilance states: MT2 receptors mainly NREMS, whereas MT1 receptors REMS.

Most of us bodybuilders have some type of mood disorder and Minnie take SSRIs but check this drug out. Agomelatine. Increases the serotonin receptor responsible for sleep as well as the melanocortin

Tried an experiment. My e2 is elevated and had some erection issues due to that the past week or so. I wanted to see if injecting 1mg of mt2 would fix that without the use of an ai. It made my dick rock hard for two days following lol. Not that it actually helped my issue of elevated e2 but still nice to know I can inject this and reap the benefits.

Mt2 makes me sleep like a baby.

Does anyone else get so weird ass dreams on this stuff? My dreams are either disturbing or entirely about women(fuckin lmao)!

Ive given up on mt2... no matter how small the dose I get way too sick feeling

I feel ya. The vial I’m on now makes me feel like nausea and fatigue. The previous vial didn’t give me any negative sides, just a great tan and a lot of erections. Some people insist sides correlate with potency. I disagree. I get the tanning effect whether i feel the sides or not. Melanotan II is one of the least expensive peptides to produce, and probably the and most viable peptide there is. Don’t judge based on nausea. Use it daily as a good dose and you’ll be very tan after a couple vials if you get some UV rays.

Hahahahaha 2 days with a hard on is very cool! 😀

Ive taken 2mg doses and never felt sick. I’ve used it for the past 10 years, never once got sick from any supplier. It must vary from person to person, idk.

I prefer MT1 as sides should theoretically be lessened. With 5mg cialis daily don't really need the other "sides" of mt2 either but do have a vial waiting in my freezer to try one day when I run out of mt1...

I’m not familiar with MT1 unless that’s PT-141?

It is. It gives the erections/libido without the tan. M1 increases REM sleep where M2 increases NREM sleep. Low dose combo of both would be great for increasing the melanocortin receptors to yield optimal sleep.

Just took a .5mg dose from a new vial of peptide tech. Getting some nausea/flushing. Damn, 1mg doses of other brands hardly hit me but peptidetech packs a punch.

Man, i know, the same thing happened with me. The current batch is super strong!

I decided to start mt2. I have peptidetech mt2 on the way to me. But I have had a vial in my fridge mixed for about a year. I don't even know what brand it is. Anyway I started very low and all the usual side effects. I forgot to take it one night but slowly increasing the dose. I haven't had bad nausea post inj (more mild) but flushed badly everytime.

Today I looked at my arm and thought I had something on there and tried to flick it off but realized it was a new freckle  I am slowly tanning but still a bit red but this will build up. I will use this vial up then start my peptidetech one. Good timing as I will have a fresh vial for my holiday in September. I think I ordered 3 vials so I will use one in August and take one away with me on holiday. Gonna do 250mcg twice daily and I will literally change race in 1 week :D Although it's very hot here now so once it builds up more I will try and get a lot more sun. I have been using 20mg accutane which makes my skin very sensitive to sunlight so I haven't risked going in the sun much until this has built up more.

I can take about 250mcg once a week and reap some benefit... Besides using to tan intentionally best use for me is prevention of sunburn... I have even had success taking it AFTER getting too much sun and burn turns brown by next day!

raises my BP about 10-12 points for those of you with pre-existing BP issues
