They were 45lbs but that's a good point of reference because they were the exact same size as normal 100lb plates. They looked like they were pretty expensive, and I can't believe that gym owner decked out the whole gym with them. Skinnier the plates, the better

My current gym has a pair of 100lb plates over by the Leg Press. Girls at my gym train legs way more than the dudes and almost every day I see some chick struggling to get them off the end of the leg press weight tree to get to the 45s haha
I did some sloppy front delt plate raises with one of them before and people were looking at me like they were witnessing a Sasquatch or a released Zoo animal

We have some 50kg Eleiko plates (110lbs) at the gym and even I hesitate messing with them they are so unweildy lol. A little girl might get injured pulling it off a leg press.

They have a little lip on one side and we competed in lifting it with one hand for time. Hurt you fingertips like a SOB. Most couldn't budge it.

If y’all want there is a website that sells super slim plates. It’s called weightitout.com. I believe the 45lb plates are only 3/8” thick which is crazy thin compared to the traditional cast iron plates or bumper plates.

I realize it’s not really feasible to carry 100lbs of plates with ya to the gym, but maybe you can convince the commercial gym to pick up some of these plates. Or buy some for yourself and keep them locked up in a locker at the gym.
