Air hunger related to disordered breathing patterns, hyperventilation with hypercapnia. It’s a shitty disorder I’ve battled since I was young.
Comes and goes. Completely related to stress. I had a bad exacerbation after wearing a compression shirt that took 8 months to recover.
Find out what’s causing your disordered breathing. Are you overweight? Do you hold in your stomach subconsciously like myself because you don’t want it to be seen protruding out even though you have a 6 pack. Are you bloated or eating to much and your stomach is pressing on your lungs?
Likely, something is causing your breathing to be irregular. You have to go through a long self physical therapy process to retrain your body to breath properly. Anti anxiety meds, can be of great use to help in this process. It’s not a quick fix, will take time and honestly I never fully recover until I forget about it.
How I describe it, I can take the biggest breath in, but the breath doesn’t satisfy me. I have to force myself to yawn to be satisfied.
If that’s you, google what I said. It sucks. It makes your nervous and awkward in conversations, heart rate goes up, etc
