What's your earliest memory in your life?

I agree with this. Ive spoke to people that try and say they remember things from when they were under 1 years old. I have a friend that says he has a memory from 9months old. Personally i dont believe that. But thats just my opinion!

Ive got memories of when I was 4 or 5 years old, earliest I can think of but they are really blurred. Like the other post says, pictures really help a lot. Looking back at some of the pictures I have when I was that age brings back some memories I had. It is like the picture is a trigger for my brain. Sounds, smells, and other sensations come back a bit and it is like watching a video.

One early memory was me falling down the basement steps. I think I was about 4 or 5 years old, but not sure. I rolled all the way down and my mother caught my head in her lap and saved my ass. The basement wasn't finished and it was a concrete slab floor my head would have hit. I was dressed up like an indian chief and banging on my war drum!

Earliest memory was being under a desk as the whole building around us collapsed from a gas explosion, then being handed to the firefighter at the top of the ladder. Decades later when I mentioned this to my mom for the first time, she was surprised that I recalled it as I was only about 18 months at the time.

Second memory I was under 3yo and remember driving through the city which was totally destroyed by this HUGE earthquake in 1977. I vividly remember looking to the right at a high rise around the corner from where we lived and seeing it half torn down.

All this explains why "the key to my success" in life is fear - fear that I won't get to achieve everything that I want before I "expire". That is why I work tirelessly at everything I do. I wake up with panic attacks almost every morning about doing my work, because it "must be done!".

First nice memory - I was 3 and it was late in the evening, and I was sitting at a big desk as my dad and his friend (with my help ) were putting together this miniature train set together with landscapes, little people, etc.

Tons of memories from 3 onwards.

helping my dad build a swing set when i was 3 for some reason i vividly remember holding this yellow plastic toy hammer and following him around really thinking i was contributing lol

1st day of pre School ,I threw toys at all the other kids and mom had to pick me up 1 hr after she dropped me off

After seeing Some parts of the maxtrix film in the weekend, I tried to 'wall walk' at school on the playground. Obviously failed hard

About 3, I was riding my trike in the road and my father yelled for me to get back in the yard. I remember thinking it was easier to ride on the pavement than in the grassy sandy yard.

Do you still carry those scars on your face today? I bet your parents were really scared for you.

No I’m almost 30 now so I grew out of them. Some are still there but very faint. I’m a huge dog lover though ironically. I think it’s because my parents didn’t allow me to be afraid of dogs after that.

i have a few weird memories from the ages of 2-4 that really would be impossible to be faked as no one else was there. they are not detailed memories just like visual flashes burned into my head...

got stuck in a new cement sidewalk around age of 2.
side walk outside my house was being redone, no one was watching and the workers went away and i guess i jumped into it... i was stuck in cement for a while, no one knows how long exactly. lol
i know the story in retrospect from other ppl but i have this panic vision that is quite visceral of being stuck... i know the age only due to other events.

seeing my much older cousin naked... lol
no one has ever spoken of this event so i know its a memory.
since no one has ever spoken of it im not sure the exact age but due to other details it has to be 3-4 years old.

cpl other memories/scars from similar time of which are unspoken, so i know they are mine! lol
