What the hellYou can't even wear the same sneakers you walked in on at my gym. Everyone must change to sneakers they just wear in gym. The lockers room and bathrooms are also separate.

Calling me a name in disguise after telling me to not name call. hmmmmmmYou´ve been here two weeks and you´re already insulting people? Keep the shitty attitude in check, it makes you look like a female genitalia in a certain troll´s clothing.

If it’s a commercial gym, no liability held for what a member does inside the gym. Members release liability, located in fine print, once they “sign” up.Is this a commercial gym? If it is, I'm surprised they would let people walk around like that, due to it being a liability in that setting.
Never seen a requirement for shoes or laying towels down in any gym in USA thankfullyIsn't this normal? In every single gym I have been in Germany, it was part of the "dress code" to use clean gym-only shoes inside the gym space, and not walk around with the street shoes. And place a towel under the bench when you are using it.
man i would prefer this, an extra step towards hygiene , takes 30 secondsNever seen a requirement for shoes or laying towels down in any gym in USA thankfully
Because it’s common sense stuff you should know without being told or reading a sign.Never seen a requirement for shoes or laying towels down in any gym in USA thankfully
Me either. Kinda along the lines with dudes wrapping their knees and using belts for squats or deadlifts when warming up.I never understood the whole squat and deadlift barefoot thing anyways?
TRaining in socks is a little weird but stepping on piss in socks is another levelBumstead just posted a video doing pulldowns and rows in his socks. Someone from this thread should tell him how disgusting the is and throw him out of the gym.
Yes, it’s a commercial gym. No one likes the manager of our gym because he doesn’t welcome being bothered with complaints. He’s so lazy he just goes upstairs to his office, shuts his door, and usually stays there until time to leave. Getting a piece of gym equipment fixed takes an act of Congress. Our gym manager simply does not care. He’s not a workout person. I’ve had others tell me he hates his job and it shows. Is this a commercial gym? If it is, I'm surprised they would let people walk around like that, due to it being a liability in that setting.
I can't think of the last time I saw anyone put a towel down to use a piece of equipment, maybe the last time was a year ago and the girl had on a mask and visor. Don't think I've seen anyone on IG use a towel so it's not just my area lolBecause it’s common sense stuff you should know without being told or reading a sign.
Like @pesty4077 said I have a pair of shoes strictly for the gym like most others I know.
I used a towel on the portable incline bench today. I sweat when I'm in the gym and when I train with people I don't want them to have to lay down in a puddle of my sweat.I can't think of the last time I saw anyone put a towel down to use a piece of equipment, maybe the last time was a year ago and the girl had on a mask and visor. Well, squatting or deadlifting in those big ass sneakers with lots of cushion is like a sign of, "here's a total amateur" lol. Well not quite but I do notice if someone has certain types of thick soled sneakers and is squatting heavy. I use either Converse shoes, something with a thin sole, or if maxing in the deadlift, in socks. There's a whole category of deadlift shoes and slippers and socks, "barefoot shoes" for powerlifting aficionados lol.I never understood the whole squat and deadlift barefoot thing anyways?
