carrying concealed is such a personal thing...size, height, your style of dress, etc. all effect the type of weapon you would carry. myself personally i carry a compact size .40 s&w, but i am 6'4" with a good amount of mass. so for me my weapon is perfect for CC purposes. i know guys that CC full size 1911's with no problems at all, others prefer to carry subcompact size firearms such as glock 26's/27's. best bet is to go to a gun shop, and handle a few firearms in different size groups. decide which you feel would suit you best...because honestly get the wrong gun, and i guarantee you'll leave it home a lot more than you will carry it.

Love the xd! If it fits your hand well I beleive you will too.

I already have two XD's, one in .40 and the other is a 45/460 rowland. The one I'm wanting now is the XDS a single stack .45 with a 3.3 inch barrel.

Have you considered an XDS 45? With a couple of extended magazines of course.... I pretty sure that will be my next firearm.

You know it was an either or choice. Almost. I'm a bit of a recoil whuss and I hear the XDS has some snap to it. But I may get one some day. I have a SS Colt Commander for my only 45 pistol.

Update. Today the guy admitted that he must have pulled the trigger without thinking. He was cleaRing the gun, not cleaNing it. Shit happens. He admitted to being an idiot.
