I Like to do HIT for 8-10 minutes on the stair master post workout. Let me tell you, that will whoop your ass!

This, except I use the stepmill and do it a little longer. Only when maintaining/cutting though. I'm afraid to do this when trying to put on size.

3.0 speed on a treadmill without an incline just sounds lazy to me

What's your target heart rate? Interesting that your HR is faster in the morning than post WO. For me, the lifting already raises my pulse, so it takes less to get my HR going post WO than in the morning. In the morning, I really need to push it.

cardio doesn't matter when you do it. Cals in vs cals out.

I usually do it as a second workout or after weights. I prefer to use the bulk of my energy on weights with cardio after.

I never do fasted cardio its too uncomfortable ive competed in about 10 shows never doing fasted cardio
 
7-10 minutes HIT on the bike post workout.

between 120-130..I take clen in the am so that makes the difference I'm sure.
 
how long does your cardio last? do you aim for a target HR?

I do at least 30 minutes, 45 minutes max.
My lower limit THR is 127 and my upper THR is 150.

Where I end up for that day depends on how I feel.
Usually, I can get my 45 minutes in and my THR is 135 - 140.
 
Fasted or post workout .. I switch from elliptical and stair master

I remember John Meadows gave a scientific explanation as to why cardio post workout had a negative impact on gains once.
 
Fasted in the AM. I walk 1 minute then run for 2 minutes for 20 minutes. Then when I'm 1 month out from a show I'll do the AM cardio then again after weight training.
 
I walk 20min on an incline post workout. It really seems to help me lean out.

If I do cardio on my own, I will either do it fasted in the morning or no less than 2 hrs after my last meal.

I've done fasted cardio in the AM but it just makes me feel like I lose muscle that way.

Personally I think cardio before bed is best.

I'll be doing 30 minutes on the bike 4 times a week this coming up prep.

Interesting. I always have more energy at night, but never heard anyone do this. Do you do cardio right after your training session or do you train separately?
