Interesting. I always have more energy at night, but never heard anyone do this. Do you do cardio right after your training session or do you train separately?

A lot of people do it pre bed....or fasted am....or both. Ideally, you want cardio sessions as far away from your workout as possible.

i see alot of people not liking fasted morning cardio. try this amino drink pre cardio and maybe a scoop of whey....works great for me. most of the time i just use amino energy by ON nnutrition

I should add that the theory I outlined is geared towards contest prep where you are trying to lose as much fat as possible without losing any muscle. Your workouts are geared toward maintaining and building muscle and your cardio is geared towards fat loss.
If you are doing cardio for general health I don't think it matters much when it gets done...and fasted is great for results.

I do 20 miniutes on the elliptical before every work out.

I also do 45 minutes 2x a week and then I crosstrain on 3 different machines.

I keep my heart rate about 145 which is my cardio zone but I don't break a sweat in the fat burning zone.
 
15-20 mins after hit weight training where I never sit down I'm walking pacing between every set (if I sit I won't get up again lol) I never really rest so that fasted in the am is enough. I have a shake ASAP afterwards.

Doesn't that reduce your strength when it comes to lifting? I do a light 10 min warmup on the elliptical just to get the blood circulating in order to avoid injuries, but if I did real cardio, I would't have the same energy left for strength training.

Same here. The fat burning zone feels like a waste-of-time zone for me. I like to get my heart rate between 140–160, but 145 definitely feels like the sweet spot.

I question anyone(especially on this forum) who is doing cardio pre workout.

going to start again in the AM for general health. I got an elevation mask that im looking forward to trying out on the treadmill

Interesting. Thanks for the input. Always good to hear from someone with a different experience. How about timing? Do you do your cardio in the am in a separate workout or tack it on to the end of your strength training workouts?

Off season 3 days per week 20 mins miss. Prep 6-7 per week up to 45 mins

I mostly prefer morning cardio 3 days a week for 40-60 mins and additional few evening cardio for 20-30 min.
 
I do basketball on my lunch for about 45 minutes strait with coworkers almost everyday. Then when I get home at 6 I workout. Seems to work great for me, good separation.
 
I accidentally selected the first option but I do cardio everyday for at least 30 minutes (go to 40-45 minutes if I am not really hungry or busy) post-workout.

Today is legs day and with a nerve pinch and sore legs I am dreading it so fucking much.
