use of mix insulin (30/70)

As most of you already know life for us down under is more complicated. insulin for insensate is harder to get, and more expensive.
I got my self a box of NovoMix 30 pens.
its described as 30% soluble insuline aspart (rys) and 70% insuline aspart (rys) crystallized withprotamine suspension .
so 30% FAST 70% longer....
Is it any good? any way for it to be used? if yes how?

all I want is 5iu or something like that with my HRT for that extra....

Bump...

Iv been offerd these and unsure how I would best use them for bodybuilding

Iv used pre workout and slin and with meals but only ever used rapid acting stuff like humolog and novarapid

Would these stuff be better then lantus?

It's like R with a bit of a kick start. At 5iu, you're probably safe with any post workout, and a meal later.

I used log tons of times, but R isn't available my way so never looked into it, just been reading for 2 hours about it and still can't make sence of it, log seems easyer to run around a work out,

Was thinking about a long lasting slin to take with breakfast, I looked into lantus and that looks maybe a better option then this, not sure

R is plenty easy to use around workout. I take mine about an hour pre workout followed by a small shake. Then I have a large shake containing carbs and aminos during and after my workout. Works well for me. R is just a little longer Acting than log is all. I get a spike about an hour after injecting and then again at about the 3 hour mark.
