I've posted a lot about what the IFBB and NPC do wrong and in fairness today I'm posting about something they're doing right.
Below are two videos - the YouTube embed is Terrick El Guindy discussing Arnold Classic 2024 placings and the Instagram embed is Tyler Manion giving a detailed breakdown of judging and placings in men's open.
Over the last year the IFBB has been putting out videos like this with El Guindy discussing shows and more in-depth videos with Manion where he gives reasons for placings, what judges saw in certain poses, etc. I suspect stuff like this is due to Tyler's influence and it's great to see the IFBB finally trying to modernize like this. For years people have said they want more transparency on judging and placings and it's great to see it happening.
