What are we really eating...???

2016 Nats prep diet:

Lots of pills and pins then 30 minute cardio fasted.

3 whole eggs, 6 egg whites and half can of pineapples.

Pulled chicken breast in broth.

Pulled chicken breast in broth with half can of pineapples.

2 Rice crispy bars and Interim MD during training.

Pulled chicken in broth with half can of pineapple.

Rice cake with PB on it before bed.

This is my prep that holds me slowly loosing weight and then I do a three day carb up that fills me out and puts about 8 lbs back on. TRUTH!

What is your current weight and what are the size/portions of food per meal? Have an idea on the total daily macro's for this?
 
tenny just so you know ...this and the Best Steak House thread has revived my enthusiasm at pm. nothuman thanks for alcohol link - i did not know that carb free diets cure brain cancer.

CG do you use tinned pineapple just because it is easier and cheaper? If it's just for the carbs then tinned are fine (I love tinned pineapple). But if you want the improvements in protein digestion and anti inflammatory actions of bromelain I would recommend eating fresh pineapple. When it is tinned it is heat treated which destroys most of the bromelain enzyme.

I like your diet and it is clearly working :)
 
My breakfast was:
8 oz, coffee
2 whole eggs, 6 egg whites, steamed vegetables, low fat cheese
2 cups oatmeal with added cinnamon
watermelon ( it is in season, usually eat blueberries)

Yeah I'm in prep so a typical day looks like this. I log all of my food in a spiral bound notebook I'll try and snap a pic of it when I get home from work.

Meal 1: <pre workout>
5 whole omega eggs, 3 whites
4 slices turkey bacon
2 slices Ezekial Bread, with some sugar free jelly.

Meal 2: <post workout>
8-10oz (cooked) lean top eye round or whatever steak I find that has almost no fat.
1 cup jasmine rice (cooked)

Meal 3:
10 oz chicken breast
Asparagus, Zucchini or Mustard greens

Meal 4:
Same as 3

Meal 5:
Same as 4

Meal 6:
Same as 5

Then I'll have one more meal when I get home from work. Which will usually be

1lb bag of seafood mix(mussels, calamari, shrimp, octopus)
Or
12 oz bag of peeled devained gulf shrimp

Along with that last meal I usually eat a cup of white rice. Most people are against eating carbs before bed but if I don't I can't sleep and I get up craving good all night. I find being in a caloric deficit is more important than being paranoid about macro timing.
 
I'd rather be eating pussy, but hard boiled eggs, London broil, turkey breast, egg whites, yams, brown rice, veggie soup, fresh fruit, avocado, organic bread, oats, mixed nuts, and protein powder are basically what I eat.

Carton of egg whites with Cholula hot Sauce and mushrooms, with two toasted slices food for life ezekiel bread 4:9 and added cinnamon, stevia, and Walden Farms Chocolate syrup.

We had a cheat meal tonight.

Those chicken wings look amazing. I have only just woke up and wish I could have them for breakfast. I am going to have a treat though. Oats with banana and chia seeds... and you guessed it... Lion bar protein powder :D It tastes like caramel but has little pieces of lion bar that melt down when you mix it in :D

rye. i make my own 50/50 spread
with salted butter/evoo. garlic.

My base weight is 192.5 to 194.5. Then my carb up adds 8 to 9 lbs.

I'm just reaching into a container and grabbing chunks of breast(maybe about 12 or a little more oz's) that have been crockPotted for six hours, so it just falls apart in my fingers as I rip it up and then just add some of the CP broth. I add sault and pepper, some times seasoning.

Wow, now you have me thinking. :) I had no idea there even was a trade off. I'm sure the fr3esh would be better all around but I'm not the guy to be cutting up fresh pineapple. With the parkinsons my hands tend to shake at times now.

To take from what tenny said, I've done Coor's light with chocolate whey protein. It's pretty good. Glad I'm not the only one to sometimes do beer postworkout. :D

Yes, to all this, I discovered cooking chicken in a crockpot about a month ago. I use it to cook my chicken meals for the week. Pull it apart and put in tupperware, I add barbeque sauce. The crockpot cooking keeps it moist, even the meals later in the week are just as moist even after sitting in fridge all week.
 
50 gm why iso
20 gm cashew butter
make a thick sludge with little water( seriously thick so thick it should be difficult to move spoon in it, it will take good amount of time to finish it not like in few spoons so u feel u have had a decent meal)
150 gm frozen blueberries
No starches/complex carbs here

amazing pre w meal in hot english summer. My pre w meals are minimum 2- 2.5- 3 hours before touching wts.
