I know that I'm a muscular guy but I never realized how big I was until other big dudes, especially heavyweight competitive bodybuilders that competed at the shows I did told me how impressed with my size. To be clear, I am 5'1 and 195lbs. now. Competitively I was at the top of the middleweights at 6/7% body fat. It never clicked that I was big enough until I stopped competing and even now I'm hesitant to drop more than few lbs.

Maybe not a cure but a dose of reality might help......here goes: Nobody really cares how big and muscular you are !! You don't get paid any extra at your job, in fact it costs you way more to look like this and that money would serve you better in the long run invested in your financial future. Your family loves you just the same if you are 230 or 170. Your long term health is in jeopardy because you want to look like this for now. The time you have to dedicate to this could be better spent on solidifying relationships and making contacts that will highly benefit you down the road and there are countless other reasons not to let this consume everything in your life. Most importantly, no matter how dedicated you are or how intensely you pursue the perfect physique ......in the end it all goes away!

Right here is the truth! Mic drop......Just had my tricep tendon reattached to my elbow. Next week I have an umbilical hernia fixed. I'm 45 but my mind says 25. 6' 265 last vacation. But I'm starting to realize I'm not getting paid to look good. And when your body breaks down. The people that say you "looked" great are no where to be found. Time to see life for what it is. Thanks Tom your post is so true. More people need to realize this.
