4+ min for me i like to be completely recovered for the next heavy set
 
Glad to see the variety.

I agree, it depends on the exercise, weight, goal and whatever else is going on.

Sometimes 30-45 seconds

But, I could take 10 minutes if I'm going for a pr deadlift.
 
how many hours do you guys workout at the gym ?

it literally takes me 30 minutes to get done and do 9 10 sets

and people always tell me you just got here and now you are leaving lol
 
Depends on my energy and mood. When I feel I'm in beast mode can't wait to grab the bars and get over or under the weight again. If I'm tired and the joints are aching I take more time between sets
 
I don't keep track but it's definitely under a minute.
 
I just rest until my breathing steadies. Sometimes it's only a minute, sometimes it takes a few minutes.
 
I always try to be recover for the next set, maybe it will be 30 seconds others 4 minutes...
 
man, i remember back in the day when me and my boys were into dope, we would have a couple bongs while we wait for the next guy to do his set. good times man! so probably like 4 minutes. now we got some new equipment in the shed, we don't have to wait so long, so probably like 1-2 minutes now ( and no bongs)
 
I warm up on the stepmill 5 min interval style at maximum. Then i try to keep myself in the cardio zone till i leave. I'll throw in light weight high rep sets of my off muscle groups to keep it going.
So if its chest day ill bench a few quick warm up sets, stretch and go right to a work set. Then maybe ill do half dozen pullups and do the next set, repeat. Then go to incl dumb and alt with light squats ect hate fucking around.
 
Right now i am trying to add more mass so i tend to rest longer. Large muscle groups 2-3 minutes.Smaller muscle groups,1-2 minutes.
Squatting can be up to 4 minutes for the heavyset.
 
On heavier compounds (especially when training For strength/ PL) I'll rest as long as I need, 3-5 min usually
Anything else I like to keep a quicker pace and try to limit my rests to 45-90 sec
 
the shorter the rest time, the better for hypertrophy... GET IT ???
