what kind of hip replacements did you get?
I got the Newest Depuy 36 MM Titanium/Ceramic Hip.
The Titanium Head is Anodized for better wear.
And the Ceramic is now Hardened against Breakage, the older versions couldn't take any hard impacts.
I can Jump and Run with No Problems.
And there's No Weight Restrictions, in fact, when I asked my Surgeon about any Weight Restrictions.
He told me that my Bones would Break, before the Hip would Fail.
I had the Less Invasive Surgical Procedure.
So instead of the Older 10" to 12" incision.
I only have a 6" incision on the outside of both Glutes.
I spent over 10 years waiting for everything to come about.
The Original Titanium Hips were Failing.
Then the Ceramic Hips, which had the Best Wear Feature, were Cracking.
Then there was the Cobalt Chromium Hip, the Metal started to Leach into the Bloodstream, and Poison the Patient.
Then there was the Highly Cross-Linked Polyethylene Hip, they were supposed to be Great, started Failing around 2 years after the Procedure.
And then I needed to find a Great Surgeon.
The Surgeon I choose did his Intern and Residence at the Mayo Clinic.
He's now at Penn-Presbyterian in Philly, where I had both surgeries done............................ JP
