Echo results... could be better, could be worse.

I read that TB 500 is great for the heart and cardiac remodeling but I don’t know if it’s true, everything else I read in it turned out to be true.
There’s a handful of peptides that have been used for it. I would up my ARB dosage before putting too much stock in peptides for it though personally.

Nebilivol would be my second choice at a minimum dosage. But the least amount of meds needed, the better IMO. I think getting your heart rate up with cardio and hitting 10k steps each day is where most should start.

Many bodybuilders still view cardio as bad because that’s the old school mentality in this sport.

What @luki7788 said above. If it were me I would not add a beta blocker in as your RHR is already 60.

I would switch up the meds and keep cardio in 5 days a week with HR of 130 20-30 min daily and hit 10k steps daily.

That’s if it was me.
Yes I missed this so I agree. That BP needs to aggressively go down though as long as it doesn't produce symptoms.
How would you try to get your cardiologist to prescribe Jardiance?
At this point, the cardiology guidelines indicate it's use for more than just type 2 diabetes so a good cardiologist should be familiar with the latest.

First ever echo so I have no comparisons. BP has been a struggle to control under 145 lately. Dr adjusted some things and I'm into the low 130s now but asked to get an echo if the persistent hypertension would get it covered. He agreed. Just to be sure I'm gonna run the interpretation by one of the critical care cardiologists at work.

EF 54%
Mild to moderate LV hypertrophy w low normal systolic function
Mild atrial dilation
Mild regurg in pulmonic and mitral valves

Increasing CoQ10, adding Arjuna and pycnogenal. Keep cardio in. Maybe add some HIIT. E2 was high (118) but that's baseline when on 500mg test and BP historically was 118-124 SBP. Adding Arimidex when over my prescribed 200mg/week see if that helps control BP via reduced estrogen.

CT calcium next week. EKG is good w resting HR 60s normal sinus. Labs are all good except genetic low HDL and a single bump in AST/ALT that I'm gonna get rechecked in 2 weeks.

Could've been worse but it could've been better. Was hoping to see 60%+ EF. If an echo was as easy to get as blood work I'd have gotten one a long time ago.
I really don't think that is all too bad!! You have to consider also that as we get older things just tend to not function as efficiently as when we were younger as well. Especially from the continuous workload on our hearts and cardiovascular system in general. I had some mitral regurgitation on an echo I had several years ago and this reminded me I should probably follow up on that sooner that later! I think as we get older it is just a matter of mitigating what we can control and hoping for the best for the things we can't!

A lot of good advice. I didn't think it was to bad either just funny how I can read them at work and be objective but once it's myself I second guess and mind goes blank.

I want to try the arimidex and see. Idk why my BP is higher all of a sudden. It was never an issue. I will monitor sides close and draw labs and if it hit estrogen too hard I'll back off. I will also switch to Telmisartan, keep Norvasc as is and keep cardio up maybe try to push the pace a little more.

Cards will probably be in a month so I'll have more data to give to them then too.

Thank you all very very much.

I had an echo with an ejection fraction of 49, I'm 27 years old - would always walk 10k steps per day minimum. The test was after a period of being sick and having heart palpitations. Its not something I thought to tell anyone or post because I know in reality nobody cares. Not really sure what to do about it, I dropped alot of quality size and of course I want to get back to where I was, but I'm pretty exhausted. I'd be happy to see 54% lol

That’s dark man. Why would nobody care? 😂 That is what this place is here for.

Feel free to give more info- stats, cycles, lifestyle etc and myself and others would be happy to weigh in. I am speaking for others, but at minimum I’m happy to. LOL

When you say you “got sick” do you know what specifically? Are we talking a cold or a virus that attacked the heart, etc.

Do you know what your EF was before getting sick?

losartan in my experience does not work well for bodybuilders - I would change it to telmisartan or even good old Ramipril will be better than what you are currently using, but that's just my opinion
I agree with Luki also from my experience,,,For me, I would switch to Telmisartan.

some studies i have seen point to guy having higher chance or cardio problems as their E2 gets out of the normal range. Feeling good and being healthy don't have to go hand in hand.

Yea this last month I’ve been slipping with a newborn on cardio and I feel it but in general I try to do 60 min am fasted cardio 5-6 days a week. Feel better doing it too.

i didnt like how beta blockers made me feel.
since i havent seen it mentioned i use an ace inhibitor called enalapril.
cardio walking for 1 hr 5 days a week and liss like jogging 2x week increasing distance and or time each time.
in 6 months ive increased my ef quite a bit.

I’ve posted my health shit before but aside from my kidney issues I also had severe heart failure. Discovered in when hospitalized for Covid a few years ago … EF was 26%.

I did a cocktail of things to improve it and eliminated anything remotely bad for the heart from my life … a year later and I was back up to 55% EF where it has maintained ever since.

Without our health we got nothing. Sure wish I stayed on top of this shit before i allowed it to get to end stages.

Good luck man that echo really isn’t too concerning I’d just live a health focused life and avoid heart stressors - implement heart healers/put your body in an environment prime for healing. You’ll be golden

pycnogenol + coq10 + gotu kola are a good stack for heart

At 26%, what effects did that have on you physically?

I agree 100% - increased e2 means among other things an increased risk of blood vessel blockages or (few people mention it) increased inflammation in the body - that's why my doctors want me to have e2 below 40 and ideally around 35 even despite my ultra-high testosterone level

Like most replies, your EF is not a concern, generally anything over 50% is fine, while 55%-70% is ideal.

To add, EF constantly changes.

FYI - 2 years ago my EF was 64%, last my EF was 58%, no changes in heart structure.

BP, that's something needs your attention.

Chip

Maybe add some cialis too.
Adding more drugs to the mix is in my opinion completely pointless and it becomes a closed circle in which you add more drugs to neutralize the harmful effects of others...

Our goal should be to use as few drugs as possible to manage our health when using PEDs
His echocardiogram isn't bad at all - I'd say it's normal for a bodybuilder. The first thing I would take care of is regular at least 25-30 minutes of cardio 5x a week maybe 2x a week 8-10 minutes of hit training and an average of 10k steps a day (I really recommend taking steps between sets during training, it allows you not to "cool down" between sets and it's a game changer when it comes to saving time during the day)
Another thing - I see that you like cheat meals and you do them quite often. I have nothing against it and I know that Dusty practices it with himself and his clients, but if I were to make them, I would avoid anything that has a lot of saturated fatty acids, such as burgers, pizza, etc. I would rather choose something like sushi or homemade burgers made of lean turkey with low-fat cheese etc.

Yea the EF% seems to go up and down by about 5% from test to test but it could be the way they measured it on the screen

My cardiovascular capabilities were much less. I struggled for air at times. I struggled trying to do leg days. It was really unpleasant. I definitely do not recommend it lol
