I too knew Compton was going to be hype. Truthfully I hope it's just more muscle maturity that he's lacking as I'd like him to be a top guy but not sure what will happen a few years down the line. My hunch is huge ass gut.

Also let's ban all mirror pics for now on. Evan was a huge disappointment for me after I saw his photos last week then saw him on stage just blend in with the rest.

im really impressed with how Justin held his own in the size department.


I was expecting him to be dwarfed by the competition..not sure why I thought that way.



as for Branch...I don't see how he got second.. 1 lat, 1 quad, and no forearms..

sure, he was insanely conditioned..but had no symmetry, no proportion, and his size was lacking in critical areas, and present in areas where you don't want size (abdomen etc..)

Cedric was good but nothing that had the wow factor. I'm tired of people saying he should've won or placed 2nd; that's just funny. 1 look at branch and "he's so dry and grainy" comes to mind but ugly ass physique..

Conditioning wins... You want aesthetics ? Stick to the physique category

Some of you are just delusional.

Branch's physique is exactly what one would imagine roided out freak to look like. Worst genetic package on the pro stage, plus all the injuries he's a pile of dogshit. YES his conditioning was amazing, but it's a physique competition not a conditioning competition.

Honestly I don't know what's impressive about Dexter, he's got no wow factor. He has no really strong poses. His conditioning was good, again like branch. Also have you met Dexter? Anyway...

Cedric, got robbed. If you don't think his physique blows the rest of the stage away. Then I don't know what you're watching. The only one that comes near him from the back is Compton, who I'm a huge fan of.

This is shopped. Look at his forearms. Branch has the worst forearms in the IFBB and his arms have never been that full even with the gallon of oil he normally shows up with.lol
But I'm not the one saying I hate Braches shape. I'm saying Branch didn't win the position he was given.
Ya watch these videos and one looks bigger and more magnificent than the next. BUT when you stand them up in line next to each other then you see whats really going on. Look at Compton. Rear double bi, his delts look unmatchable. But Cedric stood next to him and it was a coin flip IMO. Anyone that didn't see the comparisons really have no idea what happened and what a travesty it was.

Tough crowd, but honestly I agree with you 100% about Branch, guys... what an unaesthetic, unsightly physique... not even Top 10 had I been a judge.

Now, sluggy, I can see you don't seem to appreciate Dexter as a human being , but frankly, from all those comparison pics you posted (thank you for that), he's to me the clear winner of this year Arnold on almost all poses, asides maybe from back double bi where Cedric owned him, and rear lat spread whose Justin's won IMO.

All in all I thought it was a REALLY POOR show in terms of quality physiques (look at the other thread where a vid of the 1996 edition was posted), but since you have to judge with what's in front of you, here's what my top 6 would have looked:

1/ Dex
2/ Cedric
3/ Justin
4/ Roelly
5/ Brandon Curry
6/ Evan
