If I could have gotten my hands on it back then I would have started it around 25-27 personally at 2-4 units.

With all these doing gear things differently I think it’s important to add the biggest thing I would have done is get bloodwork and screening done from the start and at least starting at 21.

Unfortunately there was no Quest Direct, Ulta Labs or Request A Test back then. While I was in school and working three jobs to pay for it I didn’t have insurance until I was 25.

Would have been interesting to see what those 2 years of superdol really did. 😂

This is the south and up towards the mountains where I live. People start early down here. To each their own. 🤷‍♂️

😂 It probably would have. What’s funny is in my early 20’s on my superdrol cycle my legs were strong as hell and grew with no issues.

Even when I did start using test in my mid 20’s (25-26ish) it was the same. I loved to train legs and had a few pro’s at my La Fitness who let me train with them which was invaluable.

A cycle for me in those days was 250mg test a week with 300mg EQ. I thought those were high dosages because I was taking “two” different steroids. 😂

Then you fracture a hip, get a few partial tears, take a few years off from training hard and using anything but Test Cyp at 250mg for 8 weeks on and 8 weeks off. Was so busy starting my business and with life that it was just get in the gym 4 days a week.

But the good new is at least my legs “did” match my gear dosages back then. 🤣

On insulin- I had access to all the Humalog I wanted at 22. I tried it once and did the whole 10:1 rule and by the time I was pulling in the gum I was blacking out and had already chugged all my dextrose. Luckily the guy I trained with at the time came to my truck and brought me one of the old EAS CarboGain I think they were called. Drank 100g of carbs form those and just set there drenched in cold sweats.

Needless to say I can honestly say I didn’t touch insulin again until I worked with Milos in 2021 and really did not want to at first.

I would have used HGH much earlier, but I’m glad I waited so long to go back to insulin as I think it would have ruined my physique and lines that early on as I hadn’t hardly done a real cycle and had so many other things I could have maximized first.

I have only been lifting for two years so pretty short list

1. Avoid deca, and use EQ
2. Don’t blast gear powerlifting if you want to be a body builder. It’s a waste of health & money.
3. Don’t listen to people who have been body building or PLing a while that don’t have the physique/numbers to back it up. Whether about stacks, or in regard to training, such as “what is optimal” or their thoughts concerning correct volume/intensity

Well damn… everyone on here has been so obsessed with my damn legs that I just assumed. 🤣 my bad.

Honestly on the HGH that’s why I said 27 because the body is still developing up until that point so not sure there would be a need for where I was at or my goals. But if I was competing and training at the level I am now I would have likely done 4-6 units. Especially since pharma was what you could get at that time which still wasn’t cheap. At that age I had the money, but I was so deep in work and life that it wasn’t on my radar.

But if we are talking about what would I have done differently IF I had of competed from an earlier age, that’s a totally different answer. Lol
 
Of course not using gear right on day 1 I started benching my first barbell, haha. But I often wonder what would have happened if I had jumped on after 3-4 years of good progression, around my early/mid twenties. I just have not much time left pushing really for size, I started too late. Just a question of time.

Imho the 20s to mid 30s are just the prime time for bodybuilding, for really growing huge. It takes time, a lot of food, training, gear etc - and a body that can withstand that beating. Doing that insane stuff now in my 40s is just not the same. I can always improve of course, but I mean really getting big, like being a contender for the top IFBB Pro Shows.
Got it and I figured that’s what you meant. It’s def a different game in your 30’s. I didn’t pick up heavy gear usage until 30 and don’t regret not doing more sooner.

What I do regret unrelated to gear is not hitting 6 meals a day earlier on and sticking with it year round. I always ate 4-5 meals a day since I was a teen doing this. Much cheaper ways but then from 26ish to just before I turned 30 I dropped that and let myself go as I built my first home, business was consuming me and divorced my first and ex wife in there.

If I could change anything it would have been my diet and lifestyle those years.
 
I would’ve waited to start gear and spent my money on a decent coach and worked with them for a few years.

I don’t even want to say lol but a very long time. Yeah it’s def going to be a game changer
 
1. Would’ve used less orals (or none) in a growth phase - they always tanked my appetite and I just fought through it. This was bad practice in hindsight.

2. Implementing GH at a slightly younger age. I’m 31 now, I would’ve loved to use GH regularly at 25 instead of 28/29.

3. Less trigger happy with AI implementation. I’d argue my estrogen was tanked more than it was elevated back when I first started using AAS. I now embrace a slightly elevated E2, notably when in an offseason setting. This has kept my mind, body and bloodwork in better standing.
 
Did you have complications or scar tissue? You are probably the first person I have heard say that they regretted getting it done so curious if you don’t mind sharing.
I was in my early 20's for starters when I had the first surgery. Got all my gear directly from a US pharmacy through a physician that supplied the whole gym for the most part. Test, Deca, AD 50, Anavar. Started off as small hard nodules and then really took off. I had no clue regarding AI's/SERMs and few (that I knew) took them back in the mid 80's other than Nolvadex so I had no real guidance/mentors to advise on how to use them. Despite what I was told, after you have gyno surgery it CAN (and did) come back. I had to have a second surgery on my right side due to regrowth of tissue. I eventually got "educated" and thankfully both plastic surgeons did a great job. No visible scarring or collapse of the areola(s). If I would have had access to a forum like this it could have all been avoided. The internet wasn't around yet, lol.
 
My wife and I are looking at kids in the next few years so may have to hit one of them up and ask. Lol
I should have added pregnancy to my list or the inability to get my wife pregnant the "traditional" way after my AAS use for so many years as a serious drawback to PED use. Severe Azoospermia in my case. Tried for the better part of 3 years to get pregnant and nada after coming off everything. Eventually went to a fertility clinic where they evaluated my "sample" and discovered that my #'s were extremely low and the motility wasn't great. Morphology was ok but according to the specialists, the few guys I made had almost zero chance of getting the job done w/o some assistance. Luckily ICSI became available and in combo with invetro we got pregnant. She's 18 now. Beautiful, smart just like her mama. Even froze some embryos from that batch. We chose to put in one of those stored embryos 5 years later and got pregnant a second time. She's almost 13. Honor roll, athlete. My wife and I were seriously considering adopting at one point.

I am blessed.
 
I would have used less gear for the amount of food i was eating. I didn't eat near enough for the gear i used. Or ate more food. but i had been eating 6x+ a day for over 10 years by the time is started doing cycles and pushing food was not as exciting as it used to be.
 
I wouldn't have used dbol. I just got tons because its was cheap and real. I also would've put up the cash for pharm arimidex back in early 2000's. Back then it was $180 for 28 1mg
