I gather my eggs once a day from the pen outside my house. You could say I get my eggs pretty fresh... lol

I buy the free range eggs and the free range egg whites. It's spendy, but I have had stomach issues from cheap eggs.

I always buy cage free eggs. It might be placebo but they tase way better than the cheaper eggs

Costco does sell free range eggs in 18egg containers I believe

24 in a container....eating them this very moment.. That has to work for me cuz i don't live close to any "farms"...driving an hour (1 way) doesn't make it cost effecftive for me.

I go out of my way to make sure I have high quality meat sources. 90/10 ground beef at a minimum, I even buy Perdue chicken from the stores.

Why is everyone so afraid of high-fat meat these days? I can understand if your body is specifically responding to something differently, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with an 8020 or even a 7030 in my opinion. The fat goes a long way to provide the energy you need to get your workouts done, and it will help you keep your carbs to a minimum. I just don't get the aversion to fatty meat

Agreed 100%. However, sometimes when I am hungry as fuck, eating 3 or 4 80/20 grass fed patties is entirely too much fat. 4 Trader Joe's Grass Fed frozen burgers are 92g fat (76g protein)....16oz total.

90/10 is usually what I opt for if I plan to eat a lot of it/often. 85/15 would be favorable...but when approaching a higher fat content than that...it seems to accumulate fast macronutrient wise(in addition to the other fats in my diet).

Except for the fact that it causes me to have to clean my e'fin grill more often, I totally agree

eggs with omega3

I think eggs with omega3 are a great idea, however I read that you have to lower your omega6 and omega9 before you see the benefits (Omega 6 and omega 9 are the vegetable oils and animal fats that are common in western diets).
When I can afford them, I get the Omega-6 eggs.

The truth about **broken link removed**

Nothing but farm fresh eggs for me. Find a farmer who's glad to get rid of them and you'll never go back to store eggs

I have all my own chickens so 12 eggs a day is mandatory. [emoji4] they're my friends

If all you are eating is the egg white, then it doesn't really make a difference. An egg white is basically just protein, sodium, & potassium, and that's not going to change with a different diet.

The nutritional composition of the yolk WILL vary depending on the chicken's diet, so if you are eating the yolks, it would be prudent to spend a little more for the good eggs.
