I'm sure a portion of the increase is just due to greater water weight. But are you surprised that it's gone up so fast or was there a splurge or two or ten:D after the transformation?




no splurges really...



but yes, a lot of water weight... legs got a lot of edema going on. im back on MK677 so that has a good bit to do with it.

up to 2.5g on off days and 1.7g on training days (metformin...not aas lol)


on training days, I take 1 850mg first thing in AM and one right before I go to bed.



the gastro upset seems to have warn off



edit: I use Novalin R on training days (I train every other day)


12iu 1 hour pre-workout, 12iu 1 hour post

Wow, I thought it was common to only use 250-800mg a day. How come you dose it so high? ( more is better, right? :D )

I'm not asking specifically for a source but where do guy's usually get their metformin from?

I felt the first tinge of hypo during my last workout... so I took a couple sips of my peri-workout drink and all was good



I keep a tub of Gatorade powder in my lifting bag so... no real risk



edit: I take metformin around 6am on training days, and train around 1pm.


they aren't extended release tablets.

GI upset/runny bowels can come back intermittently, just when you think you've acclimated to it. have some fiber in there.
 
Do you think the met is going to hinder your ability to put the calories down as you progress in your offseason? That's the only thing that's holding me back as I'm going to be ramping up the food more. That as well as the reduced IGF levels, are you doing anything to combat that or do you not believe all the hype?

so far, met is not hindering my ability to put the food down... eating enough has never really been my problem at all, it's always been overeating, and blowing my insulin sensitivity to shit

ive never had to force feed myself to grow... if I only eat whenever im hungry (like many recommend), ill put on a ton of weight, both good and bad kind (I weighed in at 233 this morning, was 195 2 weeks ago)


im a pure endomorph with a big appetite and a slow metabolism... I think given those circumstances, metformin is a perfect addition to the stack.


as for IGF, im not concerned about it at all...aas, insulin, and mk677 I feel is waaaaaay more than enough to stave off any potential impediment to muscle gain that metformin would create.


on the flip side, I feel that staying sensitive to insulin will yield far greater anabolic benefits than any detriment from IGF or mTor reduction.
 
Slice, are you using metformin primarily for insulin sensitivity?
Loads of cinnamon really helped increase my sensitivity.
