I went to a place that had huge snakes, poisonous snakes of all kinds, even some milkings. And huge crocs, many species. Very impressive. I thought it was worth going to.

The ‘Top End’ (Darwin, Kakadu National Park) is dope.

As are cats.

Yeah man, I love animals...The bigger and more deadly, the better!

Lions and Cheetahs in Africa was unreal...Got to walk with 6 lionesses and sit around with them petting and talking, which was awesome!

I went to Crocosaurus cove in Darwin...Got dropped into their tank there. I had the sharks down in the Neptune Islands booked but due to covid the sharks got changed to Cape Town. I've been to all 5 points in AU now...Alice Springs has beautiful desert scenery! Got to run Lambos with Big A through there, which was cool! Fed/Pet a Koala and kangaroos in Melbourne...Koalas are cool haha, and jumped in the water and pet stingrays and quokkas in Perth!

I couldn't get the tigers and rhinos done in Africa because everything was just starting to open back up to the world after covid, so many areas were still shutdown...I found Tiger Kingdom while doing some searching for hands-on interactions. So now it's getting that all worked out with whatever I can get into there :) ...Always wanted to see a cobra head on too...So hopefully I can see one of those without it being behind glass?!

So right now the main things I'm interested in trying to see...And ALL hands-on interactions if possible:
Tigers
Rhinos
Snakes (cobras/anacondas,giant pythons - anything very large lol)
Giant Pandas
Polar bears (obviously not touching but being able to see one right out there in the open lol)
Sperm Whales and Whale sharks
Goliath Spider (doubt I'll ever be able to make it out to be able to see one of those in the world)
Anything else large, deadly and once in a lifetime
Sounds like fun.

And that is a very ambitious list. All seems pretty much doable though. I am sure
you will get'er done.

Haven’t done anything on your list but I did get to sit on this rhinos back. Spent a
week with E. L. Karstad in the Masi Mara where he was doing research on hippos.
When there he had a rhino in a boma and I got to sit on it. If you have never
seen one up close you would not fail to be impressed.

Maybe we should have a photo thread: travel, cars, women, guns,
food, houses, etc. . . . but where the eff do you stop?

@alfresco ...Here ya go my man ;)

I copied our posts to this thread to get it going...Feel free to start filling it up:cool:🤑

Since we are posting pics, purchase a pedigree Main Coon. Named him Fred. He has blue eyes. He been on TV twice already. Breeder wants to put him in a cat show end of March. At 6 months, he is already 5 kg. They grow up to 3 years. Should be at least 10 kg, up to 14 kg.

Good looking cat though man:cool:

The Maine coon cat! From my home state, Love those!

Love love those cats. We had one, sort of adopted up, ran away from home. Best cat ever. Huge, with the pointed ears and the furry toes. And a real fighter. And never just a pat. I never mastered playing without me bleeding.

Up for some travel photos?

Just so it not all animals and more on track with what @alfresco was talking about:

Tikal Mayan Temples (and a pic of Pacaya Volcano): Guatemala:

Just too cool!

How does that work?

Good they like water.
They had it setup where people could get in the water him to pet him, I asked the keeper if I could try picking him up and he said just be very confident and scoop him up or he will reject it.

Not sure if more luck than confidence but he didn't eat my face off so happy I am.

Great story. You couldn't escape him in the water if he got pissed off o_O

Yes I was quite surprised to see what an exceptional swimmer he was, it was such a beautiful animal.

I love how Jaguars, Cheetahs and Leopards are always confused...So similar yet such different structures!

I was just looking through Peru (Goliath Spiders and Green Anacondas), and noticed that you can get up close with Jaguars too down there!

Funny story behind this.

I spent a week climbing Devils Tower about 30 years ago.

My wife had never been so on our road trip last fall we
decided to check it out.

The campground was signed as full but we decided to check it out
anyway . . . can't hurt, might help.

So just as we pull into the campground, a car pulls out of the best
campsite in the campground. Snagged the exact campsite I used
30 years ago.

What are the odds? Should have run out and bought a lottery ticket.

A few more...Now it's someone else's turn:

WonderWorks: Florida
Didn't end up going in...It was a kids science museum, but the building design was definitely cool!
