Reprogramming keyboard shortcut buttons?

I've got one of those keyboards that has buttons for things like "cut", "copy", "internet", "search", etc... A total of 11 buttons, plus the media control buttons. Are these buttons re programmable? Out of the 11 buttons I only use 2: "sleep" and "calculator." I don't need a dedicated button for "copy", I'd much rather have that bring up Word for example. There weren't any options in the keyboard control panel that I could see...

I don't think so but it would depend on the keyboard manufacturer. I have seen some that are programmable. I never use special keys because I basically started on a standard IBM keyboard in 1980. I got used to CTRL-c for copy, CTRL-x for cut, CTRL-v for paste, etc, etc.

Yeah, same here. I can't understand they there are buttons on my keyboards for cut, copy, and paste..especially since they're right next to the left CTRL key LOL. I've been looking and can't find a way to program them differently. Thanks tho.
