Ccleaner

Recently I had to have my computer reformated. It got a nasty virus and it has to have a good washing. I used to have Ccleaner on it and I went back to download and it the sites I got to all I see now is that I have to pay for it or it becomes a PC registry thing.

Where can I get a Ccleaner that cleans out the cookies so the memory doesn't get all taken up?

I don't know where you got it from the first time , but you should be able to get it for free at Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com that has the new version . You can also try auslogics registry cleaner that works good .

Your link provided exactly what I was looking for which was the original Ccleaner that I had.

THe other ones I was finding I had to pay for them.

From my experience here lately the viruses/threats are putting themselves in the Restore files.
Just turn off restore ,reboot and the turn restore back on if you like.
Or go to create a Rescue CD which will run from the boot and scan .

ccleaner doesn't need a serial and is freeware on their official site (piriform), it shouldn't be necessary to download it off rapidshare.

It's freeware, although some download sites look like pay sites, they are not.
