Key Coder

Hey guys,

I'm actually a tenured member here but I'm being spied on by a family member so I created this altered ego...

Can anyone tell me about how to identify if a key coder is present on a computer. A key coder sits in the operating system somwhere and records everything you do on the computer. Even if you delete files, history etc, it's all right there for someone to see.

Long story short, this nifty little tool has cause me some marital problems. while I'm completely reformed in my ways, I would still like to know when I'm being survailed by the Mrs.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

ok bro, just to clarify, its called a keylogger. this would be hard to find, but heres some info to help you out. How to Remove a Keylogger i think your best bet is to re install your operating system.

Thanks man. The utility that she used was Spectra Pro. I think it's a keylogger but I'm not sure. the damn thing opens a report on every web site, chats, emails etc. Anything that you did on the computer is captured.

Is that key logger or something different. I'm assuming I can follow those steps (good article by the way) to at least detect this thing through task master.

Yeah Spectra Pro is a key logger - plus more than that. I agree best bet is to reformat and reinstall OS. Because she could have more than 1 key logger installed and they're really hard to find unless you know the name of the app, and even then she could have 2 on there and you'd never know the other one was there. You could try googling how to remove Spectra Pro but again safe bet is reformat HD.

Thanks. What I wish I could do is identify that damn thing and find its log in credentials. Maybe I'll buy a key logger of my own to gather intelligence on her key logger - lol.

Haha I don't think they have that just yet. Today's key loggers are pretty advanced and usually only the person that installed it can access program and remove. She's got you by the short hairs!

Friends Keylogger is the software program which use for reading the key stock of your system friends please we care full before installing the keylogger software because most of them contained virus so just be careful ..

This is an old thread, but had I have seen it last year my advice would have been the same thing "Get a life and tell your family member to get a life themselves"! You had to create a different sign on to fool your family, but chances are you're still on the same PC??? The same one you fear is being watched by a secret agent software? I call bullshit on this year old thread. Sounded more like he wanted to spy on someone IN HIS FAMILY and didn't want his original name being used in case the family read his thread!
