Can a person block out an bad experience ' regret " like it never happened . My wife went threw something she hated herself for and wish it never happened but she talks like it never happened . at times I think shes upset but I don't ask what it is just are you ok .

Bro, like most things a person try to suppress usually manifest in other ways acting different or doing something that's out of character.....best way is to face it head on so you can deal with it in a healthy manner... I hope your wife can find some peace with whatever trauma she's dealing with

I don't think deliberately trying to forget would do anything good. Therapy can decrease the power of certain painful memories, though.
