Anyone getting bio identical test for their HRT?
I’ve been on HRT for 2.5 years and will be switching providers. I’ve seen a couple that sell bio identical hormones and wondering if anyone has experience. Supposed to be better as it mimics the actual testosterone your body makes.

The term "bio-identical HRT" originated from postmenopausal estrogen replacement drugs that are analogs of estrogen. Women often take synthetic estrogen and a progestin instead of actual estradiol and progesterone. Along came "bio-identical HRT" and started putting women on estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone. The actual hormones, not a synthetic analog of them (like AAS are an analog of testosterone).

To be clear: Bio-identical hormones are still esterified. Testosterone cypionate IS "bio-identical" testosterone.

That is one Dr. selling his version of a service with his opinion. Pharma = bioidentical.

"Bioidentical definition is - having the same molecular structure as a substance produced in the body. " According to Webster's Dictionary.

So anything that is produced outside the body from any substance plant, animal or chemical that has the same molecular structure is bioidentical no matter what source it came from. But marketing hype sells.

So I explained this to you very carefully in my original post. ESTERIFIED TESTOSTERONE COMES FROM PLANT SOURCES and it IS bio-identical.
