Fusing Vertebrae

I have grade 2 spondylolisthesis at L5 for about two years and it hurts like a tucking son of a hitch. Been taking joint mere and deca seems to be helping. That and dieting to get every last bit of extra weight off those pinched discs. Like some said working on core. Get tight abs is like wearing a built support belt all day. I also use a lumbo sacral belt when doing laborious work. Trying to build my legs more than upper. I think whatbhelped cause this was getting too big on top and not doing abs enough. A large oak tree will fall if it does not have good trunk. I also use tens machine and sleep on firm mattress. Good luck bro and let me know if you know of any exercises I might try that would help.

You can see where the L5 hangs over. The little bones that hold it in line shattered so I guess you could say I have a broken back.

I have 16 fusions for a total of 18 vertebrae fused. That includes L1-L4. It was one hell of a recovery and made me 4" shorter. Remarkably, I'm still 6'8". The worst outcome from it has been myofascial pain syndrome from the amount of muscle that was torn to pieces in the process. If there are any specifics you want to know about it, feel free to ask. Overall it was a great outcome and made a world of difference in my quality of life.

You go in outpatient they burn the nerve endings and you walk out a happy man. No down time.

Buck as mentioned exhaust all other options; my father had lower 4-5-6 fused and he is in worse pain now than ever before

HOWEVER, if it MUST be done - you wife MUST NOT DO ANYTHING for a good year now matter how good she feels man, don't bend over dont lift a fucking thing dont do shit, the pain pills will make her feel like she's healed and wham its all fucked up and even worse.
