Philippines Vacation II: Family Fun

We were there almost 3 weeks visiting my Wife's family. GREAT time.

This is from the mountain's that surround my Wife's home city. Her city, Ozamiz City, is fairly flat with a lot of rice fields, then surrounded by these incredible mountains... this is after driving about 2 hours into them... surrounded by clouds.

Organic!

I ate my fair share of fatty foods, but I also got to have REAL organic foods... i.e. plucked from the tree to the table or from the chicken walking around outside to the stove, etc...

My kids could swim ALL night.

I could have stayed up here forever... I'm more of a solitude kind of person.

My daughter, ironically, is more of a "tornado" hahaha

Wife

My wife was the worship leader at her church back home, so she got to dance again too which was great.... SO graceful... oh, and she'll kill me, but the poor thing put on 12 pounds! She deserves it, we'll get back on track next week

Resort

Most of the time we stayed at my Wife's family home. But, they are just the most amazing family I know (quite poor, but so RICH in heart) so every few days we took them to a resort for the night to lounge around have fun.

Needless to say, after all this "relaxing", I was exhausted! hahaha

We did a diving trip to Cebu a couple of year ago, loved it!

B- No, not Manila, this was in the southern region, Ozamiz City in Mindanao (despite what people from Manila say, Mindanao is very safe, there is just a small band of Muslim extremists called "Abu Sayef" WAY down south). Thanks, I AM the lucky one indeed.

It is BEAUTIFUL there... yes, some old and dirty run down parts, BUT, especially in Mindanao, it is paradise.

hahhaa... exactly, it SEEMS like I have it together... I'm the most faulted person I know, but I'm trying. And yes, it was GREAT... I need to start saving up again to go soon, I love it there.

Cool! Cebu is quite beautiful, still not as urbanized as Manila. I bet that was a lot of fun.
