Differentiating free test and total test

Hey guys,

On prescribed trt and recently had some blood work done. Have been doing 80mg of test c every 4 days subQ, and it has put my total test levels at 490 and free test at 150 (in range, high end).

My question is, should I stick to these dosages since my free test is high normal? Or should I aim for a higher total number? Would it hurt if I did? My goal is to have total T at 1200.

IMHO free test is more important. That is what is not bound by other proteins and is available for your body to use. Perhaps you have lower than normal levels of SHBG allowing your total test to be midrange and your free test to still be high.

How do you feel on that dose?

I feel alright, I do. What's crazy is that my total estrogen level was 120. Phone call with the doc in 30 minutes, so we'll see what he has me do.

Also on 250iu hcg 3x per week and .5mg arimidex twice a week.

Pay no attention to Total Estrogen, this gives no indication of ones Estradiol ...this is your concern ...chances are it may be in range with the upper range Free Testosterone...hard to say?

Its been observed by some that when their FT is in the upper/above range with a lower below range SHBG, anxiety becomes an issue ...I don't know the reasons,Dr. Crisler has made mention of this with some of his patients.

If this becomes your issue, you may considered changing your dosing protocol, if in the event you do have a low level SHBG.

2 days prior I dosed my test subq, 1 day prior dosed hcg 250iu, 1 day prior .5 arimidex.
