Very hard to pass female to male HIV, but it can happen. I suspect he might have been doing other recreational stuff. Then he refused treatment for the HIV. Total denial. He’d still be alive today with the meds out now, had he not lived in denial. He was indeed a character, but lived his life to crash and burn no doubt.

Well that's a relief.

But yea could have been anything with Tommy. He was really living it up to the fullest but once he stopped winning fights, his life really spiraled. His ego was so massive that he denied his HIV. Sad story.

Very true and someone diagnosed today, who stays on top of it, will live a normal lifespan. You'll die from something else and they are getting close to a true cure. That said, it still has that stigma attached to it. Who would want it? I came up through the early 90's when everyone was scared the fuck to death of it. I was scared to have sex with any women. LOL. I knew a guy I worked with, got it and died. Watch him rot away, scared the shit out of me.

Even though it's all but curable and at the least fully controllable, still wouldn't want to mess with it. But for us guys, who only have sex with women, the odds are still very low, even if the woman has it. For women, because they take the "deposit" so to speak, much higher risk. 95% catching it today are still gay, IV drug users or women. I get tested once a year, because admittedly I do sleep with some women. So far, no issues.
